How do you stop yourself from falling for someone? I'm talking about that "infatuation" stage, how do you control it?

It is scary and I am afraid of another heartbreak..

We are just getting to know eachother and I am not sure (or maybe I know but trying to brush it off) if we are a good match in other areas in life..

and again it is scary, he's always on my mind, that's why I just want to stop it or at least control it

There is no control lol I used to try and hold back as much of the crazy as I could at first. But now I’m not worried about it. If they’re going to like me, it’s going to be for me with no remorse or fear. Of course, I haven’t been dating for quite some time now bc I’m just not ready yet. Best advice is to slow things down. Make friends before making love. I always rush the physical and regret it. Take time for the right things to fall into place.

He repeated it today... This could be the only thing he says that gives me mixed signals. He says he doesn't want anyone else, yet tells me the one who'll be with me is going to be the luckiest man. So confusing... I try to look at this as if I'm on the outside to stop catching these feelings for him but he keeps bringing me back to feeling this.

I learned to step back but what's in the heart is difficult to change 😐

yes, sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants.

it is really difficult because he is telling you who he is and you should listen to it and hear it.

on the other hand, you have the feels. all i can advise is what i did and that is bite the bullet. succumb to the feelings you have but with the very big caveat front and centre that you might get hurt in this. at least that way, if it happens you saw it coming but you also gave yourself the chance to get what you wanted.

i won't lie, it's a high risk move and one that might see you lose in this but only you can decide if it is worth the chance when the other outcome is something amazing.

As for the OP dilemma, I agree he is saying it as a compliment. If you want something to happen with him you’ll have to take the lead though, e.g. plan a date (don’t have to call it that) and make it very, very obvious you like him.

I wish I had the guts. He did ask to meet up (not as a date though I think) and he is kind of waiting for me to say yes let's do it. We are both in different cities now so I am waiting for the right time, but he knows that I want to see him. I just hope I don't get emotionally attached after meeting him. It is already too intense for me🤦🏻‍♀️

I hope it works out for you. I don’t know if your Taurus guy is like this but I sort of need a lot of certainty that the other person likes me before I will make any sort of move. I know it’s ridiculous but it’s just the way I feel.

Thank you, I think he is the same.. lately he's been expressing it alot in different ways and kind of trying to get me to say it, yet also tells me that he knows how I feel without me saying it. I am just too cautious and don't want to fall for the wrong person again.. and don't want to give any fake promises. So maybe when we meet up and see him in a different light, it can validate our feelings somehow and not feel like I'm living in an imaginary emotional bubble.

I think Taurus are the best at suppressing deep feelings you do have and making sure you don’t act on them. Very disloyal to feelings, very loyal to your thoughts and your fears.

You might feel them stronger because of that Scorpio Moon and Pisces Mars. If you express them and are more loyal to them, it will definitely help you in understanding them and not being so fearful of them (feelings).
