It's been about 12 years, but Abilene is a nice city. They don't really have good restaurants though.

Personally I like nothing more than to go against the grain and I'd be sure to voice my objections in an apparent abilene scenario. But I'm sure that this hypothetical scenario would be only hypothetical in most situations, unless you really had a gathering of directionless wimps.
In fact it sounds like just one of those fancy talking points used as a smoke screen, probably to justify the scam that is representative democracy and the fact that your politicians don't really have any control over society but are just there to pocket bribes.
But I imagine a ""psychologist""" or two probably wrote a book about that shit and got shilled comfortably in the new york times. It's the kind of Jedi mind tricks that sell pretty well to normies.

There’s no supporting economic growth, promoting innovation, and enhancing living standards. These are the building blocks of free democratic markets.
