He clarified to me yesterday, that he said that because he cannot have me walking around with my head all big, because he knows that I am beautiful...He said that I thought that you could take a joke...

Another red flag. He wants to condition you to take verbal and emotional abuse by indirectly shaming you for not being able to take a 'joke'.

Why make a comment to bring down someone's looks when that's generally known to be a sensitive spot to most people? Why do it to his significant other?

He's creating drama and pulling the strings, baiting you, lowering your self-esteem and making himself live rent free in your head for all the wrong reasons.

Eventually you will snap at him at some point and confront him and he will find a way to make you look like the crazy one and put all the blame on you.

You may like him a lot but based on what you've told us he isn't making you happy, he isn't adding value to your life. He is making you doubt yourself and your reactions to ridiculous and easily avoidable situations created by him.

You're getting the short end of the stick in this relationship and you're upset but you still won't let him go. That's how much you care. Want to find out if he cares just as much? Give him the short end of the stick and see if he sticks around for long.

Or you can take the high route. Constantly check in with yourself and ask yourself, does he makes me feel good most of the time? How am I feeling right now in this relationship? If the answer is not good most of the time.. you know it's time to dump him.

Great advice...Deep inside, he does not make me feel bad at all. He makes me feel nostalgic... But I agree, that he does say some crappy things in general, but over all he is not a bad person..
