it's so easy to find people who will be around during the good times. it's like the easiest thing in the world. what's more rare is finding someone who will be there during the difficult times. and also being someone who will be there through someone else's difficult time.

but sometimes i feel like most men and women are both delusional in their own way anyhow. women always expecting dudes to magically change for them even tho they show very little to no interest.
meanwhile, a man can be barely employed, middle-aged, barely paying child support, have a receding hairline, with a string of failed relationships with maybe one long-term one that dumped them for greener pastures yet whom they consider the 'big love' of their lives YET still think they're doing so much better than these women with a couple of bad dates.

Both men and women in majority are fantasists because they grow up on some idealistic narrative. This is why I’m so anti-fantasy feeding upbringing. It stunts a person’s mental growth. This is where belief in religion stems from too. If I had kids I would never expose them to anything mystical or mythical like Disney, religious stories of super heroes, marvel comics Santa, and tooth fairy etc. Makes a person delusional from childhood well into adulthood. Absolutely! Another downside to entertaining useless prospect. However, a lot of serial monogamist pull this while wholeheartedly believing that they could catch a good prospect while they have a live-in placeholder. LOL. I don’t know how they see that playing out. Obviously undermining the intellect of their ideal prospect thinking that they won’t catch on to the fact that they have someone in their life.

the way i see it, if you treat love like a joke, it’s also gonna treat you like a joke too. we ultimately reap what we sow. i would avoid anyone who is always full of excuses. you know, those “nothing is ever my fault” type of people. you wanna stay far away from those ones lol also, if a dude is serious about you and has nothing to hide, he will try and make you a part of his daily routines and send you reassuring texts without you having to ask. when any issues come up, he’ll be like “let’s fix it together.”

one of my best friends (a virgo) used my shower yesterday and he told me i had way too much stuff out and that my bathroom looked cluttered.
he was like, “who the hell has six shower gels out at the same time?” 😅
he couldn’t understand why someone needed more than one out ?
i told him it’s because i don’t like using the same one every single day. and he was like, “why? just finish using one and then open another one. or your bathroom’s gonna be full of half-used bottles taking up unnecessary space.”
my s/o (sag) doesn’t mind that i have so many shower gels out since he has his own area and could care less what i do with mine. lol 😅. he even laughs about it. i try to keep all my stuff within my area, but i can understand how this would annoy certain people. 😅
i also noticed that i always need several different jams for my toast in the morning. (strawberry, blueberry, apricot, peach, fig jam just to name a few that’s currently in the fridge lol 😂 etc) also need a wide variety of teas. i get bored drinking the same tea, coffee all the time. s/o thinks nothing of it. to him, it’s just another day in the life of living with me 😅

i think some events are random and have no logical or rational meaning or reasoning behind it.
freak accidents like that bloomingdale library attack for example. an innocent girl that was on her way to return some library books was raped and beaten by a psycho who just so happened to see her there. the victim was left blind and permanently paralyzed/disabled for life.
many many cases like this happening everyday that make no logical or rational sense.
no one’s life improved, nothing was reformed or achieved, no epiphany happened in anyone, nothing good came out of any of it.
i used to wrack my brain trying to make sense of stuff like this but it literally led nowhere and i got bored asking questions that had no answers.
religious people who are convinced these freak accidents happen for a reason (that it was “god’s will” or however they wanna interpret it) most likely wouldn’t be saying the same things if the victim was their own daughter. they wouldn’t be as nonchalant about it as they are now. they would be singing a very different tune.
with that said, i do believe some things are very much within our control. like, who we choose to associate/interact with. (aside from family members we have to interact with whether we like it or not)
many people create their own misery by diving into things that they know won’t end well for them, willingly overlooking red flags in people, making excuses for why certain things are the way they are.

I too love hotel buffets the most... so much that I will choose a hotel based on that fact almost alone. Nor can I eat that much. I just want choices. I can usually get in a plate really. I push it a little with a second.

I have a pretty fixed chart. I'm the type that keeps one of pretty much everything till it runs out, and I need to get something new. Like I literally have 1 pair of good shoes, and one pair of work shoes. When they get old or dirty, I throw them away and get new. Same with body wash. Though I do change up my shampoo and conditioner when the bottle runs out. I never use the same brand in a row. I got to keep my hair perfect, and the same exact shampoo and conditioner is bad for hair.
At the same time I don't think I would really call someone out for having a variety of stuff. Unless it was like, crazy. Even then it wouldn't really bother me. As much as I rant and act dramatic here, I'm a actually a pretty simple man. For me it just makes sense to use one type of body wash, then when that one gets low, I buy a new one. I actually like the idea of people who like variety. To me it just sounds creative and interesting.

Me too...all the time. Mine would be forgetting food I'm cooking on the stove, particularly rice. Always cooking rice.. Went to take the dog out with a pot of rice on high. And yes, laundry too but that's not a big deal. I'll remember when I remember lol. Or, my husband will need to use the wash and put in the dryer for me...and most time fold it too. I left some towels in a basket for two weeks.
I want to reupholster my kitchen table seats. I'm afraid I won't finish even though I know I will. And, I can't decide on a fabric.
