Aquas - Dress to impress. Yay or Nay?

Just curious as to the Aquarius angle on the dress to impress concept. Not necessarily at work, but more so as in a social setting such as meeting the parents, or going out to eat, or to a party, or meeting the SO's friends...etc.

Do you care what you're wearing? Or does it cross your mind to dress a certain way?

Do you think the concept of dressing to impress is superficial? Or do you think it important?

How do you decide what to wear to different functions/social gatherings?

I have my impression, but I'd like to hear from the aquas how they feel about it.

I feel like I may be different in this regard, I COULD be wrong though.

I'm a Libra rising. I can't just roll out of bed and goto the corner store to buy milk. I need to look good.

I plan outfits out the day before if i can, i am too tired in the mornings to think about cloths! With work we have certain colors on certain days- which TBH drives me nuts. i want to be able to CHOOSE what i am wearing lol

I'm not like over the top with what i wear, but i won't look like a slob if i leave the house lolol

Make up- only when i work or a rare night out, otherwise naw, don't even bother.

Just so long as mascara is involved. I will wear pjs and not brush my hair, no problem, but I WILL NOT leave without mascara. hahahaha

We had a birthday dinner at Olive Garden for my daughter's 23rd birthday. Of course, all my daughter's friends were there. I wasn't trying to impress but I did dress stylish and made an effort. Aqua shows up unshaved and in a sweatshirt and jeans. Which is fine by me usually, but at the same time, I'd have liked him to have made a better effort. He's a very handsome man and he looks younger when he's shaved. We're older and his scruffy is grey, which makes him looks older than he is. Of course, I didn't ask him to shave or dress nice, I just figured he would have.

Just wondered if it's typical for an aqua to just go comfy, not trying to impress anyone.

I do think it's superficial in a way. But i also won't look like a slob. *shrug* That's for me and not to impress others. Like right now, i have a shit ton of grey from grow out, i need to dye my hair .. but i will do it when i am good and ready lmao

I dont spend hours and hours getting ready. Comfort > obnoxious glam all day everday. Most of my wardrobe outside of work cloths is t-shirts, jeans, sweaters, sweats.

My Aqua BFF is SUPER into clothes and accessories and she always looks perfect. My Aqua sister is a tomboy and couldn't care less about anything matching or even fitting well (she is on cusp of Cap though so maybe that's why).

but again I have to say, libra rising, I blame all my vanity issues on libra rising because it's easy!

He didn't look bad, just normal. And yes, he knew they would be there. I figured he was just that confident and didn't care what they thought.

My ex had on jeans and a hoodie, so he didn't try either. lol!

That sounded so rude. Honestly, I avoid WM because it is mentally exhausting. I feel like some of the saddest people in the world are there and it is so draining.

Also, it was obviously a joke/lie because on Kodak's Cali thread I said I went to the nicest WM in the world there. Ha

I'm a Cap, Libra moon with Some Aqua placements.

I like to dress nice, period. I don't wear makeup every day, but ya I have to get ready to go out even just to go to the store. Brush my teeth, hair, wash my face, etc. Wear a nice pair of jeans and a nice T shirt or something. I won't just go out in sweats and all ratty looking, just no.

I don't know how people can just dress like bums sometimes.

I wake up - grab whats near by or fresh out the closet and go to work after my bath routine. Haha no time for makeup etc

But when I go out then I doll up like wooooaaah - satisfying my leo asc hahaha

WM is how I know I am an empath. Nothing even happens bad when I go. I just walk by people and my energy level plummets.

I love inexpensive items and dry goods but I just can't usually. #SecondHouseSaturn (save ALL the money lol)

I dress the way I feel. I get a lot of compliments at work and when I am out with friends but I promise I don't try so hard. Keep in mind Aquarius don't care that much. I know I have my own style.

Sometimes I feel extra sexy, so I dress very sensual for work, but it can be still covered up but tight to show off my curves and it true Aquarius have beautiful legs and with some bad pumps girl they don't care that I've wore the same thing a dozen times but switched up the accessories.

I believe when you dress the way you feel, you shine :-)

Haha hi truecap, well it seems aquas dont really wanna put too much effort on dressing up because we prioritize more on comfort rather than style. I can be dress stylish if i want to but rarely do so at all i just find it superficial. After all, i want to be the natural me. Glad to know that your aqua is handsome well can aquas be ugly? Hehe :p

I wear my PJ pants to work sometimes. They are just too comfy and I can get away with it.

My rule is no stains or tears.

Just ran to the frocery store in sandals, joggers, and a black v neck. Definitely not wasting time in front of the mirror for going to a grocery store.

My dress style as a guy is sprezzatura , it's the male version of " I woke up like this" have to look effortlessly gorgeous yet casual without a care but a lot goes into it,

I can leave the house wearing anything at anytime but not without eyebrows.

This. I'm usually a jeans (relax/skinny/tapered) with T-shirt (Tank/Cami/Muscle). Until something fancy springs up every few months and someone asks me "When did you get that dress/pantsuit/top)". Like it's a surprise I have nice clothes.

Wouldn't they more less dress to impress themselves? I haven't known an Aqua that dressed for someone else's preferences.

if we go out to a nice place, i usually dress nice. I do have nice, beautiful clothes in my closet. Mostly darks, like dark browns, reds, shades of green, grey.

I prefer this look over anything but I do realize the importance of how you dress -- when you need to impress 😉
