He likes me a lot but doesn't want a relationship?

Why an Aquarius Man Likes You but Won’t Commit

An Aquarius man usually likes you but doesn’t want a relationship when he keeps texting, flirts, and enjoys your company, but pulls back when the talk turns serious. In real situations, that often means he wants the connection without the pressure of commitment. Watch whether he keeps showing up consistently or only appears when it suits him.

I met this aquarius man and from the first moment we connected. He told me often that he likes me. He finds me intelligent, attractive, cute, responsable (his words). Told me several times he feels so good around me. Then suddenly he said he doesn't want a relationship because i'm a bit taller than him— But then repeated how much he liked me and stil wanted to see me that night... I was a bit upset and told him i had made other plans, so i went to another city to some guy. Then things got weird with that guy and i felt uncomfortable so i texted the aqua that the situation was bothering me. He instantly jumped in his car and picked me up at 1 am in a city an hour drive away. Then he dropped me off and asked if i wanted to get a drink so we did. He was huging and kissing me and he felt like my saviour.. Later that night we ended having sex (first time) and after that he wanted me to lie against him all the time and he was cuddling me again en told me i was a good kisser and stuff.. So im a bit confused.. Should i watch his actions or his words??

Thank you for the replies!

Yeah it came really out of the blue that he said that! Because when we talk, even after he said it, it is about serious stuff. For example in the car he suddenly said: i havent asked you what kind of music you like yet. And when we were back home he keeps asking about my life, we talk about our childhood, our jobs etc. He remembers small details i told him. After we had slept together i said to him that i couldnt believe we've known eachother for such a short time and he said 'i know, right?' and hugged me again...

Should i give him some space maybe to figure things out? Or keep communicating as we were doing?

keep being his friend doll. live in the moment. you will get there. they need space yes, to be friends with you. dont bring up the relationship issue. go with the flow. the main point in life isnt being in relationship with a person, its being connected. aquas are free willing people.

and i have been with my aqua years now (+ earlier communications with aquas) so my advice is sure to be noticed too, scorpio

You want to be very careful with who you take advice from...

A man can sleep with you, compliment you, probably introduce you to his friends but until he verbalises he wants a committed relationship you are just phuck buddy, someone to get pleasure from and THATS IT.

Refer back to your question, your answer lies there. ----> 'He likes me a lot but doesn't want a relationship'

I know that, but that's why i came here because not all men communicate the same. Im a cap for example, and i could say something like that to see how the other person react to it.

Huldra, thank you for post, it seems like you know the whole story 😉
I have known that guy for some years and he recently moved (also) to the country where i'm living currently. He already asked me several times to come and visit him but i was busy, so that evening i decided to go over there instead of staying home waiting for the aqua. If i wanted a shoulder to cry on or something else i really wouldnt go to another city 😉

There isn't really a conflict between his actions and his words. There is a conflict between what you want and what you're settling for/have now. The height thing seems like a stupid excuse, but truth nonetheless: he doesn't want a relationship.

If he's only said 1 questionable thing vs. 100 actions showing that he's truly interested in you, then it's fair to say that this 1 incident of him bringing up the height issues (even if he seemed dead serious) shouldn't be enough to make you consider feeling so confused, negative or insecure about things with him now.

He was probably dead serious about the height thing lol He blurted out an insecurity that he has. And hey, no biggie...most guys are insanely insecure about their height when a woman they really like is taller than them. It's just a guy thing. They have their issues with body issues just like women do, so don't pay as much mind to him letting that insecurity slip from his mouth.

It's almost like something is missing from the story though. It just doesn't make sense that he's done all of the right things & yet that 1 convo make you flip. Are you sure that that 1 sentence made you question everything, despite seeing the before & after? Or is your intuition somehow for some reason telling you to be careful with this one?

I'll tell you right now, if your 1st resort is to go F some random dude whenever the dude you really like isn't up your azz all the time, you're playing with fire. If the tables were turned & he immediately went to screw a chick, you'd be questioning his intentions & interest in you to the moon & back lol Remember that some of the things YOU say & do may not show interest. So you've gotta be careful playing the game where you question someone's loyalty to you, especially if you run at the 1st sign of trouble

This may be more about man than aquarius. But from an aqua POV, I rarely get into relationships unless I can see a future or am in love. All my cuddles and kisses may not necessarily mean anything. I can sleep with people I feel nothing for. I can say I like them and it may never go beyond liking/infatuation. If I really want someone nothing would stop me from making it official.
My guess is: he's not emotionally ready or emotionally available.

Be his friend, be more...but be careful with your heart. Dont give your all unless he does.

This.
He MIGHT like you, but I wouldn't believe anything he says - because of my own personal experiences. And in trusting his actions, having sex doesn't tell you he wants a relationship either. Said it before and I'll say it again, sex isn't an investment.
If people actually want relationships without confusion, maybe you should try not sleeping with the person until you know what you are, so you know what you're agreeing to.
Do what you want to, but I agree with what was said - be careful.

When a man says he doesn't want a relationship believe him. It means he will sleep with you, but he won't date you.

He told you first up, was very upfront that he does NOT want a relationship BEFORE he had sex with you. So, when he disappears or doesn't respond and sees other people, you can not come back on here and say he is jerking you around. He was honest with you from the get go and you had sex with him anyway. That's on you.

So maybe a little update: we are still seeing eachother! We hang out, go running and sometimes i help him with his business plan. Two weeks ago he asked me to go running or go for a drink with him and his friends sometimes. He said to me it is not about seks, and he asked me if i was talking to other guys because he hasnt met anyone. He is very busy with the start of his own company, flying through europe, but still asks me to go for a run or to hang out. He says he enjoys my company.
I havent ask anything about commitment or my height ever since, but although he said that about my height he wants to kiss me while standing so i dont believe he finds it a big issue.

I find it hard to get to know HIM. I already know everything about his life, but not really about him. I dont know if this is because he really just sees me as a friend or he just finds it hard to open up. Any ideas how to go from where we stand now? Or do you still believe he's not interested?

Oh and he is pretty protective; i shouldnt go running by meself in the dark and if i ever needed help i just have to call hik and he would do anything he can, because he likes me too much to see anything bad happen to me (his words)
