why aqua men don't like receiving gifts

I don't know if it's just me but I always find it awkward. I'm not sure how I should react, I appreciate the thought but I'm not sure how to show it. I surely can't fake excitement when a gift doesn't excite me at all LOL! My pisces ex once gave me a cute, fancy pillow - and I tried my best to look surprised and happy, but failed miserably. My leo ex often snaps when I don't look happy enough for her LOL! God it's hard...

I'd rather give though - when I give gifts, I'm rather generous. I enjoy seeing the expression on people's faces. How I wish I could do the same!

That would be weird how a fake excitement looks like. Then don't fake it. Its your nature if the giver gets pissed of its their problem. You do say you appreciate the gesture... They had relationship with you they've known you too well

Hahahaha. I'm not an aquarius male-- rather, a female with aquarius stellium, 11th house moon... etc. but seriously, I have the same problem. Even as a kid on Christmas I had to make myself show excitement for gifts, and that's weird because I'm actually easily excitable.

I think it's because we're being put on the spot to show an emotion and the other person wants it and is expecting you to react in a certain way. My emotions don't follow that timeline; I have to mentally process the situation to actually figure out what the hell it is that I feel.

I like giving gifts, too. showing feelings is made so much simpler with a novelty t-shirt or a book or something.

They feel obligated and trapped. Damn Aquarians fighting to the bitter end for freedom of anything remotely confining --physically or mentally.

Some women find it hard to understand how our thought process works. Most of the time, I had to think how this gift could be good for me, how I can make use of this, how is this gonna change my life etc etc. And by that time, she'd be pissed at the blank face I'm showing her LOL!

It's good to know that I'm not alone LOL! That's exactly how my thought process works. I have to find purpose for that gift in my life, then I show my appreciation. If I don't find that purpose in it, then I'm screwed. That pillow thing was one of them. It really has nothing to do with me or anything in our relationship, it's just a random pillow she found cute 🙂

Well I love them when it's from someone I know well and they've obviously put some thought in it. Otherwise it's just awkward.

It's hard for me to show excitement over gifts too. Do you have any capricorn in your chart? Maybe mercury?

First of all, what kind of man wants a cute, fancy pillow? What was she thinking? lol!!

Maybe the problem is you're disappointed that they don't know you well enough to get the perfect gift for you? Seems like you put a lot of generosity and thought into your gift giving and perhaps you're more disppointed they aren't doing the same?

I love gifts, especially ones that I can obviously tell they put alot of thought into it and they have paid attention to what my likes/dislikes are.

Though I'll take it LOL, I don't like gift cards...I mean i love them cause i get to spend them but it always shows that the person did it just cause...or they didn't know "ME".
