How Controlling are you?
I'm interested in responses, here ... I work for an Aquarius with a Taurus moon.

First, those who I love say that I am sometimes controlling their actions. But, it is actually out of my concern for them.
As such, I don;t lay down rules on how things should be at home. But yeah, when it comes to my stuff, like phone, etc, I expect people to not touch it or play with it. Besides, no controlling whatsoever. Actually, my parents don't really interfere with my controlling actions as they know pretty well.

also i want to touch on something that happened to an Aries sun/taurus mooner best friend of my husband's.
@Mont, yes fixed moon BUT he has gemini venus/virgo mars.
and he had a choice to stay with HIS parents for over a year while his NEW house was being built.
he bought a 2nd house, that is just a plot of land. So it would take over a year until the construction work was done on it. maybe a year and a half.
so his choice was his parents or her parents to stay.
they dont want to rent a place because they wouldnt be saving money.
and both sides of parents are like yeah stay with us, (They would ONLY have to pay for their own food if they want)
boh sides of the family are very well off so they dont need to contribute on food or bills. they dont want it, and they know that both children are very responsibile anyway.
and he didnt want to stay with in laws because they are CONTROLLING. you have to get up a certain HOUR and everyone has to have breakfast at this hour and after dinner you have to sit with eachother. even watch a movie together after dinner after you sit with eachother.
Now he didnt mind those rules but he thought...for over a year?? maybe a year and a half?
What IF...what IF he wanted to just sleep in— or what IF he wanted to just watch a film him and his gal wanted WITHOUT the parents??

people usually dont go around grabbing other people's mobile Phone. ect.
My mother in law does NOT like it if the housekeeper answers the Phone. She did NOT hire her for that.

I'm not controlling with people, but when I was much younger I sometimes was with my first longish term boyfriend (I was ~ 19, and I dated him for 1.5 years). He would change his mind about a lot of things and would get overly emotional at times and that frustrated me. I would be a bit too blunt with him about that. Looking back I can see that it probably came across as controlling to him, and it could be sometimes. I cringe when I read some of my old diary entries about it, quoting myself, etc.
I like my house to be a certain way (tidy, for example). I have a lot of 6th house planets and I definitely manifest that energy with my home and also my diet and exercise. I don't expect others to do exactly as I do, I just do what works for me. That said, I do best dating men who are also quite tidy and health conscious in a similar way.

I usually attract more controlling people. I'm possessive about my belongings and animals. Like if you go through my phone or call my cat a bad name I will cut you. But I leave the controlling for others. I don't like it..

I feel there are LEVELS of control.
give examples if you like.
- I try to control how I react to things.
- I try to control my environment (the way my house looks, bedroom looks and feels) so that I feel good when I am inside it.
- I control the people I choose to have in my life.
- I control projects / goals I want to accomplish - (studies, projects, dance performances, etc).

but i do want to control my environment -- my surroundings. that goes with people and furniture ect. However, with family, they are dynamically different, so i Always make lee-way for family anyway. but many of them are very respectful even if they stay over for a few weeks.

When we have cousins stay over, or young male relatives, i notice she gives more LEE-WAY or freedom to the young males than if say even her nieces stay over. she just has this idea that young women are to be controlled. there is something about other women with women, they just cannot live in the SAME Household. not for long.

omg 2x on the ex who CONTROLLED you even what colour curtains you should have. Sounds familiar. Although at the time i didnt even see it or realize it. I was controlled so much i was a puppet without a brain or thought or feelings of my own. It's good you are over that and are not in that situation again.

Even my closest relative who stayed over had his laptop broken, and my husband mentioned something on you can use my wife's laptop for a short while, or you can use one of my old laptops or my work computer. (he has plenty) and my family member knows me well since childhood and he said, uh, i know her very well she won't. lol
I'm like omg... well if he DESPERATELY needed to , sure. But why? since there's so many laptops from my husband's work and his own personal ones. You'd think he has taurus too because he doesn't let GO of valuable things.

I don't find myself controlling, organized than a MF but I don't care that much about controlling others or myself because it would take the beautiful from that individual personality. I love the difference everyone brings, unless they want to controll me then I'll distance myself from them.

If I a leader of a project you can trust that I will oversee every detail and that I know you serve a purpose and I expect you to deliver generously what you have to offer, otherwise why the fuck are we even bothering anyway? This is from an artistic / professional perspective yes I am controlling and I know my way is the best way because I've already thought of all the ways it can fail.....it's embarrassing when people give their unwanted input, I make a big deal of condescending to them in an attempt to show them how incompetent they are to make decisions.

Yes, so true, I won't be like that again with anyone. I wasn't terrible to him, I'm relieved to say, but definitely I needed to change a few things. He sometimes heckled me or others for fun, so he had a negative side too, but we both matured fortunately and when we broke up it was mutual and respectful/positive.
100% agree about being with an SO with enough that complements to be harmonious. 🙂
