Need help with this confusing Aquarius situation

Why are Aquarius men so mesmerizing! I’m a 31 year old Taurus female and I met a 33 year old Aquarius man at work. I noticed him from the moment he walked into the room and I felt this massive magnetic pull to him. I was serving him drinks all night and he was super flirty with me. He eventually asked for my number and then immediately texted me seconds later saying that I was so beautiful. I played it cool and pretended to ignore him but deep inside I was blushing like a school girl. He couldn’t take his eyes off of me all night and I caught him staring several times. Once my shift ended he asked if he could take me out on a date and I told him maybe because I honestly had such a busy schedule. Then the following night I had work again and I texted him to visit me and he actually did. He drove 40 minutes just to see me and talk to me. We got to talk a little bit more and he said that he felt drawn to me and that my energy was contagious. From that moment on I melted.. it’s like butter to a Taurus girl’s ears and I didn’t stand a chance lol. To make a long story short, we never did get to have our date because he had to go back to his home state and he doesn’t know when he’ll be able to visit again. He FaceTimed me for a little bit while he was driving back home and then that was it. I know it’s only been two days but I haven’t heard from him since. I’m so confused about all of this. From an outsiders perspective, does it sound like he was just trying to play me or do you think that it sounds genuine? We are long distance so maybe he realized that it wouldn’t work so why even try.

Him and I keep in touch and FaceTime each other from time to time. We have a mutual understanding and have remained friends 🙂
