What drives aquas to act opposite to their feelings? My guy and I had a talk the other day and I told him "I believe actions speak louder than words" and he jumped straight in and said "that's not always true, I shouldn't judge all people like this". He went on to give himself as an example...He said "he's actions are sometimes opposite to his feelings". As I probed, things got a little personal and sweet, I was touched. However, sensing how intense he felt, I let up. I don't want him bolting for giving out too much (or at least getting too close to his emotions!) Lol

What is this opposite thing about? Don't you guys know this can be confusing? Jeeez! Thank goodness for patient, confidence and need for balance. :-P

This is partly why a lot of aqua guys lose girls, because we girls are told to pay attention to actions, not words. Had I heeded that advice, I would have left my Aqua in the dust. He probably would've been a little sad, but never would have chased me to get me back. It's still good advice, but you also have to trust your gut with these guys.

I don't know whu they do that. It may be to make sure that they don't fall too fast, because they are very sensitive and do get hurt easily. Easier to act aloof and let the girl prove that they like them before they start getting too involved emotionally.

But once they do, actions do follow.

Ummm I only do opposite to what I'm feeling if I feel the other person isn't ready to handle what I'm feeling, its too soon or I feel the other person doesn't feel the same. I always say actions speak louder than words but we can also behave in the way we want and choose others to see us.
So what if you know the person loves you dearly? Are you testing them at their word? Do you perhaps love them more and think they can't handle it. Or is it perhaps you don't feel the same at all, but won't say?

All in all, it is a bit too soon to feel this deeply. However, why repress something so sweet? What if you stifle it?

How long have you known him? What is love to you? What makes you think that love should be returned a certain way? Why do you feel the need to work him out rather than accepting what he tells you? Why are you asking a bunch of strangers on the one guy you guys know best?

These are just some of my own questions.

I don't always say what I mean I certainly don't believe actions speak louder than words. Everything and anything can be used as manipulative tactic the only true test is time.

I'd confess if they loved me and I feel they are being sincere. If I Dont feel the same I always speak up, or ignore that person so I Dont have to talk to them or deal with their reactions. Most of my cases I ignore those people who have feelings for me or say hi and then avoid em. Sounds like an a hole move but its how I keep things on my planet simple.

Hmmm... Tons of examples and some responses validate such reasonings.
Just because I feel a certain way is no reason to jump out and stand up for it knowing there are a million outcomes and ways that it can be conveyed, taken, see as, effect others.
I might feel for example, that a certain girl is the best thing every. Like two peas in a pod. The best friend. Lay it all out there and then true colors come to light a year down the road when that person can no longer hold up their front.
Speaking what I felt...then brings me those wonderful feelings of regret, betrayal, being an idiot for ignoring a red flag I thought was possible, being an idiot for missing that angle as a possible outcome.
Thus the famous Aqua walls.
But without more specifics of the situation in question or knowing which type of Aqua... He may be in it for debate/showing other perspectives or even dropping subtle hints that there is more to a story than the regular "chapter title skimmer" people can typically do.
