Are awkward silences common w/ Aquarians?

I've been talking with an Aquarius guy lately. The first time we talked on the phone, it was painfully awkward. lol, (and being a Leo, I don't exactly think before I say something, so I told him it was painfully awkward. Oops, lol) Anyways, he's very quiet but not shy. I definitely think I was too quick to judge him, and the more we've been talking to each other via phone calls, the more I'm becoming used to the quiet moments/silences, and the more I'm understanding him.

I know other Aquarians, and there are definitely different types of Aquas, but so far the type that stands out to me are the quiet, reserved ones.

So is it a common thing for them to become quiet when you talk to them?

The Aqua man I've been chatting to on the phone, does not stop talking and i have trouble getting a word in sometimes lol.. But he doesn't say much in his emails!

I NEVER met an aqua that was lost for words. They are great conversationists. They listen well too, so flap those gums girly lol

i think at first some of us aquas can be awkwardly silent

My aqua friend usually wasn't quite unless there's some sports on tv or he's infront of a video game.

The only other time he got quite was when I hurt his feelings 😢

The two aqua males and two aqua females I know are talkative individuals if they are in a comfortable environment.

Maybe its becuase he doesn't quite know "YOU" yet and hasn't quite figured out what to socialize with you about.

The aquas I have known never shut up.
At least they're usually interesting though.

yeah once they know what to talk to you about they don't ever shut up. Sometimes its very excessive. But yet I agree they always have like interesting things they know about.

Usually I'm quiet when I'm thinking which seems awkward when you are on the phone bc you cannot see what they are doing. This is particularly true if I'm not used to talking to the person on the phone. It could also be that they are doing something else at the same time.

My Aqua ex was never quiet on the phone; it was hard to get a word in- I'd usually have to speak up real loud like hello! I'm trying to speak! Or we'd like both be talking at the same Time it was all over the place w him- he wouldn't stop! If he could go on forever I believe he woukdve( but I'd always say I gotta go now.., cuz I don't like talking on the phone anyways..( virgo woman) I'd much rather text

I find that in phone conversations with my aqua he sometimes is quieter and conversation don't flow as smoothly as they do in person. Actually, we really just don't talk on the phone very often. I don't think neither one of us really likes being on the phone.

Another aqua I dated before him could talk on the phone for hours and always had something interesting to say. (Sag mercury).

I would think it has something to do with mercury placements.

You ever saw that movie "As Good As it Gets" with Jack Nicholson? How when ever he answers the phone, he doesn't say hello like normal, but kind of coughs to let you know he's there?

My Aqua totally does that. The first hello is always the weirdest, lol. Even when he calls, and is competely ready, or even when he asks me to call him, and he answers on the first ring. He will always cough, or stutter before he says hello.

It's so cute.

I think it's depends on who you're talking to.

I am not sure that I believe in those awkward silences. Personally, I like to talk unless I am dead tired. However, my preference is talking face to face versus phone or texting.

I don't like talking on the phone and there are many awkward silences because i just run out of things to say which Is why i hate phone calls! But once i get to know the person more and feel more at ease to let go i can become abit more chatty! There are awkward silences when im talking to someone i don't really know face to face, more like "small talk" I hate it... i would rather not talk than small talk! lol!! With someone I like/fancy it happens then too, more because Im standing there thinking *omg im going red think of something to say* :-P I can also be quite shy (in the beginning)!
