So I've known this Aries guy for two months now. I am a Libra sun/Sag moon.
He writes to me every day and sends me hugs and kisses all the time. I am stepping back a bit, letting him chase me, but I also like him, although I don't know whether he is acting like this because he wants to get in my pants or because he is smitten. We will not meet in person until at least next month as we live in two different countries. He is in his early 40s and I am in my early 30s. What do you think?

Aries are known for going after what they want, fast and rapidly. I'd say he was interested, but be careful..they can also lose interest quickly.
Amen. I have my attention on more than one person usually, but if I really like someone it's like I put in all my energy into that one person and it just....dies off I guess, and I move on.
Aries men are a breath of fresh air compared to the Pisces sun/Pisces moon and Cancer sun/Pisces moon I dated. Indecisive wimps who will not take account and blame the other person for everything.
How smitten they are will be...apparent in the long run.
They come on strong at the beginning either for sex alone or for something more. They'll do it, no matter the intent.
You have to pace them down a lil.

I'm that way aswell thats why i can never get in a serious relationship i lose interest really quick and end up only liking guys that aren't good for me at all. Aries sun/merc but pisces venus. I love mystery but it can drive me nuts as well

As you get older that will change, us Aries mellow with age. I'm not saying we get boring, we just tend to want a relationship more. 😄
OK, he is sending me messages all day now.....it is nearly smothering. He's very sweet though. Is this normal for an Aries or is he simply smitten with me? I ask because he seems very keen and I want to make sure he isn't like this with every other woman.

Aries men have always liked me, but I was usually interested in water signs which never ended well. I guess one should want to be with those who want them, not the other way around.
He is and Aries with a Taurus stellium and I have a stellium in the second house (Libra) so I think it just may work out.

Im Libra sun, moon Pieces with a Venus in Leo. They are like this when they want something. Very determined, and they come at full force. Sorry to say but don't feel special unless you're a year until the relationship and he is still chasing like this. Aries don't take no for an answer, and they don't believe in half stepping when they want something. Every Aries I've dated was like this in the beginning yes even to the point where it was a bit smothering. They are like this because they know they will wear you down eventually. I haven't met one that didn't get the one they wanted. Now whether they continue to want you, well they leave that part up to you. Having them really is a treat, keeping them is the hard part. Don't fall unless you have the energy and tactic for cat and mouse, yes I said it cat and mouse.
They love the thrill of a chase and mystery, the older ones tend to play this game a lot less, and other things excite them, nonetheless I haven't met one Aries that doesn't like a good mystery even when in love. They love to know you love them, however they want to know there are still things to figure out about you.
The last two that chased me like that I never expected to like them as much as I did. I swear they came on super-fast, and super strong it was like there was no stopping them. Then eventually the minute I started to fall they were like, blah??_next! So be careful, if you catch yourself starting to like him just keep doing whatever it is that you're doing. If I were you I wouldn't let my guard down until he was in love and we are in a committed relationship, then and only then would I let that sucker trickle down. As long as he's still single, you are still part of the playing field, and even when you have him, it's a workout keeping him interested. Also don't even think about trying to keep him in one spot, he's always on the move, making new moves, I don't mean cheating but he's just always moving. Your best bet is to have him and a life outside of him, don't cheat but let him wonder sometimes what you're up to. They like to be the pursuer don't take over for him, he won't like it anyway.
Hmmm, I don't know. The way some of you guys make it sound here, Aries never falls in love. So how do you KNOW when Aries is in love? Is it the opposite of showing lots of interest and inundating the object with messages?
They can fall in love. They just don't fall easily. I often find the signs that dream a lot fall in love a lot quicker myself included sadly because we often live in fantasy instead of the dreadful real world. Aries are a little more grounded. The bottom line is they just like a little mystery, and a good chase to keep them hooked. Simple. If you can show him new things or something different, it may be a plus. I've read that they fall for the princess type. Not too prissy, but the girly girl that makes him work for it is his dream come true.
Whaaa, he is nearly wearing me down with the constant messaging and affection. I seem to have gone from uncommunicative Pisces ex to overly communicative Aries beau. Wow. He texts me non-stop most evenings and I always have to put an end to it so he can go to sleep (we have a five hour time difference at the moment).

Same with me, I have Venus in Aries..I put everything into the one I'm seriously interested in..but on more than one occasion I have lost romantic feelings in less than a week.

My god! Right?! Sometimes it'll last a day...a few minutes, but never longer.
Longer than a few weeks* cut out lol
But I change that. Is do done keeps me interested I'll love them forever.
Now he and I chat every evening. Conversations are very sexy. Yesterday he sent me a couple of semi-nude photos of himself. I don't know what to think.....

Surprise! He's an ass. He sent you hugs and kisses every day? How mature of him. I absolutely hate people who lack social graces.
I'm personally very bitter about this aries guy right now. But I have an intuition for these things. He's cooling off and probably gonna fade away. I guess they only know what they want at any given time and they do whatever they hell they want once they decide to.

My response to the pictures? I told him several times that he was hot, but he kinda overdid it with the semi-nude pics. When he sent me the last one, I focused more on the location than him. Maybe he didn't like that. I don't want our conversations to be only about sex.
I guess if he is interested he will contact me again. I will not make an effort to contact him unless he does.

Because thats not the mature way to act. He doesn't know you that well and he's coming on so strong. He's an ass because he doesn't even think or ask what your comfort level might be. Unfortunately women don't have the courage to straight up say woah buddy, slow down. Instead of slowly building a solid foundation with you, he just sloppily throws everything on the plate and then it becomes confusing to you.
Also.. what country is he from?

Keep letting him chase you. We get bored easily until you get us completely hooked. I'd hold off as long as you can before giving in.
Yeah, I'm going to let him chase me. But for some reason, I have a feeling he is playing the waiting game. I've no idea why men do that, but I don't like it one bit.
I don't like this one bit. It's been three days now. Either he is pissed off at something I said, playing games, or is chasing another woman. I am def not going to initiate contact.
