more details about my sign

i just recently started reading into my sun sign and keeps seeing rising moon in w/e or your planet is by the moons of mercury so on and so forth. my question is what the hell is all that i thought my sign was just based on my birth day and planet?

Well during your time of birth there are also signs that are rising, and eclipsing certain planets... there are other signs that influence your personality. Go to cafeastrology.com and get your birth natal chart. That gives you all the alignments of the signs with the planets and houses at the exact time of your birth. Don't ask me about houses for I'm not really sure myself. What is interesting is if you read into these other planets and houses it will account for reasons why people don't fully fit there sun signs, because there are other factors that influence it.

For example my sun sign is in Aries. Most people who meet me would not guess that. I'm actually very shy and have a serious demeanor, I also might seem OCD and a perfectionist. To most people I might seem like a Virgo sun sign, but actually that's my rising sign (it's also known as ascendant and is labeled so in cafeastrology). Your rising sign is your outward appearance to people, it may have more or less influence on your personality depending on the rest of your chart. If I had a lot of Aries in my chart than I don't think it would have much influence in my personality. I have all the signs in my chart.

There is also your moon sign which dictates your emotions. It also tells a lot about your relationships. Really the natal charts explains the complexity and contradiction of an individual personality, it's very interesting actually.
