I'm terrible at texting. I usually do it on my own terms: if I want to text you, and you respond, I will continue until I don't want to anymore. I'd you text me, and I don't want to text at that time, then I won't respond. Texting you "that time" does not mean I automatically want to text you "this time" or any other time.
If people gaged my like for them by how frequently I text or respond to texts, they'd come away with the conclusion that I don't like them. This is one primary reason why I don't have any girlfriends.
The only time I'm prompt is if it's an emergency. Otherwise, I rarely ever even initiate text and would rather not do it.
