Old town Quebec city. Was there in 1998. Way cool place.. VERY worth seeing IMO.

Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado:

Mt.Lassen volcanic national park, located between Redding, CA and Susanville, CA. Way cool place. I got to drive thru it several times while an OTR truck driver.

Mt. Shasta, just off of I-5 near the northern CA border. It's hard to describe how cool it is until you see it yourself. It is so close to the highway, that you get an unobstructed view of almost the entire volcano from the visitor center there. It's way cool.

Woohoo, Ewe! I'm stoked for you.

Besides just getting out of your own realm of comfort, sometimes going elsewhere gives you a new perspective on what you have at home. My travels have taken me to various parts of...
England
Canada
Mexico

New Zealand and Africa are on my Bucket List for the future.

"For some reason I always thought you were the " I spent my childhood summers in Europe learning art" sort of person. I think I am more surprised to know you have never left the country."

lol! I know, right?

it was very much the opposite actually. my mom is very controlling and demanding and she wouldn't let us (me and my sisters) stay home during the summers. we had to volunteer at the library, the hospital, the church, the ymca, and babysit every single day. even now when we go home we arent allowed to sleep in or laze around the house and watch tv and take a shower at noon and sit at the computer. she would have a massive flip out, freak out attack. she expects you to be as busy as she is at all times (which is almost physically impossible because she's out of control lol). i suppose im better off for it but still, i feel guilty and wrong when i sit around and do nothing

That's a pretty good way to raise kids, imo. I'm sure it sucked back then, lol but I agree that you're probably better off for it. Nothing worse than a lazy bum 😛
