I have studied astrology for a while now, but cannot pinpoint the aspect that would cause me to want a marriage where my spouse is :
Slick, streetsmart, cunning, knows worldly ways, survival in the world and teaches me those things....
Like those salesmen who would sell a comb to a bald men.
I cannot imagine a marriage where I am with a man who is not as such, no matter how loving he is towards me, I just wouldn't be able to respect him, I dont know why.
And I cannot pinpoint the aspect in my chart.

I'm not that street smart but I survive challenges. One day a few years ago I noticed how surprisingly nice these guys out there are. But only after I admitted I might have been stressing my luck. As I understand it, and please correct me if I've got the wrong idea, in Indian culture, bargaining is almost a sport, correct? Men who can land a good deal are considered to have great prowess and aptitude. Obviously, that would apply to most cultures, but it seems like I read it was either in India or somewhere in the middle east that it have a magnified importance, possibly due to the cultural relevance of bartering for limited resources. In any event, that sort of cultural tradition can be inherited by one's father rather easily.
As a side-note, we have our respective Venus in exactly the same degree in Leo; very cool.

I have seen women bargaining for few Rs (1US $ is abt 68 INR/Rs) with veg venders , shop keepers . I think that other than wanting to save few bucks , not having standard pricing could be a reason. We some times dont know if we are paying the right price or not . I have worked with people from across the globe . Doesnt hold true for all but yes first point of shortlisting a product or service is the quality for many western country clients whereas many of us(Indians) put a higher stress on financials .

When it comes to marriage i think like Bloop said that many like street smart people . I dont think marriages here are based on bargaining skills .
