How much importance does your dominant planet hold?

If you put a lot of stock in transits then it is the most important, arguably. It would be odds on to influence almost every transit event in your life.
I have looked up transits , haven't put too much energy towards it. Do u consider transits important ?

My Cancer sun is very strong but my two Taurus placements have a heavy hitting effect too.I would say it's a decent combo, not a full Cancer really because i am Earth dominant, plus i have a decent lashing of air & fire too.
I compliment people rather well TBH except maybe the over critical type.

To answer the OP, yes, very important.
It explained my weirdness and my inability to fit in anywhere (round peg in square hole).
I didn't know about Pullen or the Skywriter tests when I joined this site and created my user name and my current tag line. The copper in my user name is a Venus reference. Turns out my top planet is Venus according to Pullen and Skywriter.
I've been aware of relating to venusian things for all of my life, and also mercurial and it turns out that Mercury ranks second in my Pullen analysis.
It all boggles my mind.
I thought the most important planet or dominant planet is that of your ascendant.
In my case that would then be Uranus
According to Pullen, my dominant planet is Pluto
Planet: Position Aspects Total Rank Percent
Pluto: 47.5 ( 5) + 31.7 ( 1) = 79.2 ( 1) / 13.1%
then
Neptune: 48.5 ( 4) + 22.8 ( 3) = 71.3 ( 2) / 11.8%
then
Mercury: 51.0 ( 1) + 20.1 ( 4) = 71.1 ( 3) / 11.8%
While Uranus sits in 7th
Uranus: 50.0 ( 3) + 5.9 (10) = 55.9 ( 7) / 9.2%
Then if I go to Allen Edwall and use cosmodynes
The top 3 are as follows:

Uranus 48.03 11.09 10 Sco 12' 37"
Ascendant 47.30 9.07 07 Sco 45' 23"

the Deeper I get into astrology ...and my past, I see how it FITS with my 1st house, the dark side,
with the VIOLENCE, and the mars energy. mars/pluto in relationships can be dark, because they go through a kind of courageousness to go into a relationship that requires toughness. (and stupidity too you know, cause they say, courage is like being too dumb) or that you love too much but people see it as dumb dumb. the two edged sword.

theres a lot of couples who are libra dominant, different sun /moon signs but their dominant energies are libra.
it seems to make them "stick".....
ie, even Bodhi and Jenna Elfman are libra dominant. they are really awesome together.
and Tom Brady/ Giselle Budchen, libra dominant,

Ok , so does it mean since I'm Mercury dominant I should go by Pisces since I'm Merc in Pisces ? Lol
1. Aries sun - Its in the 11th house, the house of originality and trine Jupiter the planet of expansion, once a astrologer said that it makes my Sun in the 11th traits get a boost. On top of that I have Mars (Aries ruler) in my 1st house.
2.My Scorpio Moon - most dominant placement of my chart.
3. Aquarius Saturn - most influential in my whole life.

Because Pullen grabs aspects also, if im not wrong, to give the real big power planet to you.

My dominant planets are the Sun, Saturn, and Venus so let's see 2 earth planets and one Libra in saturn. I say for me the importance of myself and the image I hold. It's all about balance and adaptation.
This is a very interesting thread. I'm never sure how to read my dominants.
My planet rankings are
1. Mercury
2. Mars
3. The Sun
Scorpio
Aries
Leo
Are my top 3 signs
*both Mercury and Sun are in Scorpio 6th house
Mars (r) in cancer 1st house.

So I'm assuming that is due to you having Virgo Rising. Hmmm.. Is your Mercury heavily aspected? But yeah whatever house your chart ruler is in is important.

No I dont think Mercury is heavily aspected .. Just Mercury trine Jupiter & Mercury opposition ascendant... Not sure if it's 100% cuz I have Virgo rising , I've been reading mixed explanations on that
