I've always learnt to learn from past mistakes so when someone pulls the wool over my eyes it'll only happen once because then I'll always be on the look out next time round and not sooo gullible!

Gullible has such a negative connotation - I am not gullible.

Like you, I do believe that everyone has good in them. However, I don't fall for okey-doke hook, line, and sinker just because I choose to believe that people are good. I know that people are capable of deceit, manipulation, lying, cheating, etc. and will attempt to victimize you if you aren't careful.

My ex-fiance was a Libra and herein lied a huge difference between us. I wouldn't say it's gullible, he summed it up to me one time, "The difference between us is I believe/trust what someone tells me, until they prove me wrong; you, on the other hand, have to have someone prove themselves to you before you believe/trust them."

It's true. I am skeptical of everything, and I don't just trust people right off the bat. I know human nature, and I don't believe people are all roses and peaches. I have been around too long and I KNOW that people are not inherently good - in my opinion. Plus, in my prior career - I was proven right everyday, because I dealt with really horrible, disgusting people on a daily basis that just proved me right. It didn't matter their race, creed, color, or socio-economic condition.

It never occurs to me that someone is lying or being in anyway deceitful because I'm not a liar nor am I deceitful. I just assume everyone else is on the up and up. People generally well-meaning. They may do bad things, say bad things, but that is usually because they are fearful and despite how things work out, they meant well. Deep down most people are good. But then again ... does libra represent the egalitarian ideal?

lol do you have a lot of Scorpio in your chart, by any chance? That sounds like something a Scorpio would be more likely to say than a Libra (and I don't mean that as an offense to Scorpios--just that Scorpios are known for being brutally honest and intense more so than Libras are; both of those traits can be good or bad depending on the situation so I don't mean it as an insult).
