Neptune in the First House denotes the possibility of great rewards, spiritually, but is challenging to deal with. The First House, associated with Aries--an independent and assertive energy--and ruled by Mars—which brings desire into concrete action—focuses you on the tasks of self-definition and the assertion of the self as a separate entity. The function symbolized by Neptune is to dissolve definition and evaporate barriers of separation so that the self may merge into something higher.

Neptune rules the Twelfth House, which symbolizes the end of the developmental process begun in the First House. Thus, Neptune in the First House symbolizes your capacity to transform and transcend the concept of the ego-self, bringing self-identity to an entirely new level. It can also symbolize you having great difficulty in formulating and retaining a "practical" self-identity. This may be accompanied by a dysfunctional self-image.

In the first case, your self-development will be directed toward greater spirituality and is likely to involve a heightening of intuition and sensitivity. In the latter case, you may never achieve a stable structure around which to build your self- identity. Your self-image and self- esteem will, consequently, be prone to weakness and negativity. In either case, you are likely to assimilate various characteristics associated with Neptune, thus displaying Neptunian traits in your personality.

The degree to which your personality is shaded by Neptunian influences increases the closer Neptune is to the Ascendant. Such influences would include fluidity, nonspecificity, intuitiveness, affinity for the non-material and emotional sensitivity. These qualities have a range of positive and negative manifestations.

Have you got any other placements in the 1st house TMV?

Technically the only thing I have in my first house is my Aries N. Node. But since Pisces gets intercepted there and Neptune pings my ascendant from the 11th I'm looking at it like it's in the first via a default shift. With Pisces intercepted and Neptune in Rx I'm having some trouble nailing down specifics on how it functions but a lot of these descriptions are ringing true for me.

Yeah.

I have Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in the first.

Talk about mindfuck.

I wouldn't mind hearing more about that if you care to tell.

Ok,

So...Saturn in the first -> really bad luck, my home was a battlefield literally, delayed progress on the career front..a lot of hardships. As a Virgo it's easy for me to whine about it but I will kick Saturn's ass at some point

Uranus in the first -> my life has been weird but I don't think I'd like it any other way. I should write a book about it at some point, if I can ever get my Aries Moon to have the necessary patience.

Neptune in the first -> I look at my life and I cannot help feeling like the truman show..that at some point someone will dash from the bushes and say it's all a prank and a tv show. I cannot shake that feeling.

Huge propensity to day dream..I lived a thousand lives in my mind, I started and ended relationships before they got off the ground..I traveled the world and time..might be delusion or it might be my Sag Ascendant. I like it a lot though..I thought for a long time it's escapist behavior but it's actually an afirmation of assertiveness. I create my reality, it doesn't create me. And everything that comes with my choices, I deal head on. I started applying this in my life the last couple of years...not many results yet but I'm getting there.

NN in Pisces...I literally need to merge with the flow in this life. Learn how to quiet my mind and leave my heart echoing.

If we count the NN as a planet, I have the water trine, which would explain why in Pullen I'm fire first and water second..despite being an earth sign.
