Are cancer men sociopaths?

So many of these men have come across my path and they all seem to be the unevolved kind ...habitual liars, cheaters, martyrs and charmers. They will say anything to get into your pants and stroke their own ego (which is insatiable btw).

Then (shockingly!) you find out they're married with a white picket fence, 3 kids, that they're incredibly caring family men, pillars of society, etc. Their wife does everything for them and yet they're still not satisfied with their love life.

These guys sound like the textbook definition of a sociopath/serial killer if you ask me.

What are your experiences?

I would say about 99.74 percent pure evil.

That could be any man. Any man is capable of cheating and lying to get what he wants.

Ex 2. One of my closest friends. Business owner. Very faithful. Hardworking. Family-oriented. Risk-Taker and Introvert, unusual combination, I know. His current wife is a Cappie. Ex-Wife was a Libra.

Ex 3. Not a bad guy, but something about him was off. He was in a 2 year relationship with my friend, an Aries, ended the relationship without telling her....out of nowhere. He just stopped answering her phone calls. When he tried to come back in the picture a year later, he gave her some crap story about why he left. Turns out, he left her to be in a full blown relationship with someone else, an Aqua. Crazy, I know. He seemed like a great guy. He had us all fooled. We were rooting for him.

Ex 4. Great guy. Too nice. Shy. Introverted. Open heart, unfortunately for him, he gets taken advantage of a lot. He's thoughtful, considerate, etc. He's dated Scorps, Libras, Geminis, just about everyone really. Looking for love in all the wrong places.

From my observation, the more introverted, shy ones are the GREAT ones. Unfortunately, shyness and fear of rejection keeps them from going after what they want.

No, which I've learned should be the first question I ask. They usually act like they're single, want to go out and have a good time. Once I do some Facebook or social media investigation pics come up with them with their wife, kids, etc. Then when confronted the truth comes out.

It's just bizarre to me why they go out of their way to find women this way.

Why not sign up on Ashley Madison? At least everyone knows what they're getting.

I think you're on to something here. I keep running into the extroverted types of Cancers. I think the extroversion is partly a front they feel compelled to put on for the world. Mr. Social, comedian playboy, etc. Not sure if they do this to hide how sensitive they are on the inside, but it's overkill sometimes. It's also incredibly selfish since it shows no regard for ones they're involved with.

I am currently in a relationship with a scorpio, who is loyal to a fault and who puts on no airs. Sometimes one of these cancers reaches out to me from the past wanting to re-connect, and I can't believe I ever gave them the time of day with all of their BS. I don't understand why putting on a show is so important to them if they're not happy in their relationships. Scorpio men go for the total package, but cancer men go for the safe choice that leaves them unsatisfied.

Again, I speak only for the unevolved type.

I made it clear I was talking about unevolved cancer men. Some of my closest friends are cancers. My father is a cancer with a heart of gold ... Very loyal and dedicated. And yes libra is an incredibly two-faced sign at times.

This is an intelligent discussion about people's experiences. If you are offended about having us having conversation, then don't participate. You can go bashing on the libra forum. No need for name calling.

Having a similar experience with 5 cancer men in the past isn't one bad experience. It seems many women are having similar experiences here based on the agreements and comments.

Oh true that, dude really fucked up with my mind. He seemed sooo shy, respectful and cute when we met. It was a rather long date and I am still amazed at how he could not say one thing about his relationship and remarkably avoided speaking about it, really it look like he got out of a bad marriage and does not want it again. This type of things cause cognitive dissonance lol. Normally my intution is strong but his game was stronger 🙃

They do have a thing for air signs, even crab women tend to like air sign women as their friends and have some sense of respect for them, especially if it's a mature kinda person. Probably admiring that detachment as you said. But some crab men are creepy.

Funny thing I just realised, my grandpa was a cancer and also the most evil, mind- and soul destroying person I ever met.

At the risk of bashing my own sun sign, I have to say water signs can be some of the most screwed up people to get involved with. I really think they can't be happy unless they're hiding something. Cancer is the baby of the water signs so maybe the negative traits are exemplified due to a lack of astrological maturity.

I've had the best romantic luck with earth and fire signs. For the most part you know what you're getting and there's a minimum of mind games. There's always issues with emotional maturity and ego when it comes to water signs.

I suppose females are better adapted to the water sign modality, as they are more comfortable with staying in touch with their emotions, and women tend to be less egocentric. The lesser male types use their ego as a weapon against their innate sensitivity. They can be incredibly pigheaded.

These are past experiences. Lucky for me I am not involved in a toxic relationship now. I try to re-evaluate and change myself if I think I'm doing something wrong.

I'm an empathetic person, and I do believe these types might be attracted to me because they think I can easily be victimized.

You guys have maybe met the insecure ones of our lot. Of course, we all have insecurities, but Cancers sometimes can get in too deep in our own heads to get or look outside of ourselves and have better perspective of things. Maybe the one thing I can say for sure is that we are so in tune with our emotions, that we can also see yours as clear as day. And it's so easy to feed off your insecurities and twist it in such a way that you just find yourself eating off our hands. I don't know how better to say it, but I do that sometimes. But I've never once cheated or broke up with someone in a shitty way (actually, it's always the girls who break up with me, I dunno, I might be doing things wrong hehe). I wouldn't say it's being a psycopath, but maybe knowing initially what makes you weak? And knowing just the right words to say and the right look to make you feel calm, or at home, or cared for. That's one of my strengths and biggest weakness. I get to attract really needy girls who are desperate for validation. I'm trying to take time off for now because it's so ingrained in me, it has become a double edged sword.

Hopefully this clears some things out. We're not all ugly creatures waiting to bait the next prospect.

unevolved cancers, yes. It depends on moral compass. As cancer I can tell you I definitely in the past had my own insatiable needs and tendencies, but as I got older (im 27) I learned to differentiate the right and wrong in my doings. its not that they are all sociopaths, but definitely egotistical. Maybe sometimes narcissistic. But definitely many lead double lives, to try to "appear" to be something/someone. I used to be like full throttle like that. But now that I know myself more, Im a little more authentic and genuine. And considerate ect. It just goes against our nature is the problem. Funny cause we are sweet af but our nature is always for some sort of personal reward, down to helping someone only when it "feeeels good". Some days im like "dont manipulate this person for your own gain today bitch!" and than I step back now more often and assess why I want to do things before I do them. And if its the right thing for the right reason. Many of sociopaths amongst us though, I think that goes for scorpio and pisces as well. Its hat martyrdom in the end of the day which all water signs carry deep down. And when we evolve we can break down our facade. But we must learn from the school of hard knocks first.

This is really, really insightful. Thank you for explaining your sensitivity and how it can shape your actions. I understand that there are unevolved members of all signs. I've seen plenty of narcissistic leos and fair weather libras!

What's interesting to me is that the less mature cancers go after both single women and attached women, and lie equally in both situations.

Even though I'm stereotyping in this thread, I try to keep an open mind with anyone I meet, despite their zodiac sign. Example: There was one cancer I knew from a church youth group when I was a teenager. We never hooked up or dated. I had no idea he even liked me! Then he randomly messaged me on Facebook 10 years later to tell me how he had the biggest crush on me, etc etc. He wanted me to have phone sex with him and eventually asked me to stay the night in a hotel with him. (This was when I was single btw.) I was unattached so I just went with it to have a fling because I thought he was cute. Afterwards I went through his Facebook profile looking beyond his profile pic (which I stupidly did NOT do at the beginning), and I see a recent family photo with him, his wife and his daughter. I was livid afterwards. He just posed like he was single thinking I'd be okay with messing around with an attached guy like that. I wasn't ok with it at all. I'm not into homewrecking but he deceived me into doing it.

Fast forward to recently ... Had another cancer boss suggest we go out for drinks together one night. I told him I had a fiance and he said he was going through a complicated "separation". I did some digging and found out he is happily married with no problems. Why would he lie so blatantly like that, especially if he knew I was attached?

Why do they assume you are willing to throw your partner out the window like they do? It just blows my mind they can be so flippant about it. I've brought it to the boss' attention and he gets defensive saying that he has a conscience too ... That by bringing it to his attention I'm accusing him of being a heartless asshole ... But isn't this how he's acting? Why the refusal to see himself the way he is, and the BS happy home facade?

No one can hide the truth behind a facade, but they're always hiding behind this one it seems to me ...

Never considered cheating a duty, but i guess that's your point of view, thats some nice set of values you got there.. 😄 Tom Cruise is dedicated to hi's job and Musk is evolving the technology, they might not be married, but as i can say they both do what they love, Cruise is always happy, and Musk is changing the world,and that's way more important than having marriage, especially if it's unhealthy like these libra's i mentioned who cheat. Marriage means shit and it's just a label that means 0 if you're relationship isn't healthy, talk about duty, how about being faithful to your partner and respecting your choise and stand with them, not be a scum. By cheating you're disrespecting them and yourself, because you disrespected your choise. It's 1000 times better to be single than to be in relationship and not be fully in it...Cheat? Relationship thrives in truth, honesty, respect and love, if you can't give that, you shouldn't be in it, even more so if you're about to put a marriage label on it. If you can't keep your word,it has no meaning, it loses it's value, word becomes weak, and weak can't work on relationships, because doing anything, especially relationship, it requires strength that comes in many forms: patience, honesty, so on. 🙂 Marriage isn't priority in life, living your life as you want is, and that's the only duty anyone has, to be honest, as for set of values, i don't think i got anything to say to you, you already made it clear when you were talking about duty for the people who cheated. 🙂

Yes I agree. I don't care about the social labels, I just care about honesty. I would rather have a person walk up to me, tell me they're a complete shitbag, and that they're not trying to hide it. I'd be more accepting of that than the priest who molests adolescent boys but then listens to people 's confessions and gives them penance. It's the hypocrisy that gets to me. The last thing I want to be is a hypocrite and hurt the ones I claim to love through my actions. If that's what I end up doing I would prefer to stay single. Why would I bother being in a committed relationship if I don't want to remain loyal?

You have a sag moon so your need to speak the truth is strong. I get that. It's the betrayal of truth and honesty that hurts me, not the life style choices. It affects all of us.

Cheaters cheat and it doesn't matter what sign they are...I've seen plenty of libra's lie loads just to avoid conflict, talking behind back, plenty of them cheating just because they thought relationship is about to end, but i don't go and say all of them are like that, because that's just stupid.. You misunderstood the notion of duty. It was referred to the duty towards your family and commitments you previously made. Not dirty towards cheating. Not sure why you would think or say that. Libra people do what they love as well. So not sure what your point is. You’re assuming Cruise is happy, you don’t know that. And Tesla is not really changing the world much since spacecraft has been invented prior to him and there are other companies that do that. Electric cars are invented prior to him in europe and already widely used prior to his cars in america. Ummm I’d have to disagree that your his perceived world changing is not more important than family. Bc having a normal family is the number guarantees a base for everything else.
