Cancerian woman - play the hold back trick - also she's one child

Does the fishing game work with a cancerian woman? I showed her I'm serious, daily courting her with complements that she likes and shows it but it's going really slow to a point I don't want to be take for granted or even worse get friedzoned. Shall I reduce my responses and wait for her to come to me or she will take it as I'm moving away?

Also she's one child, does it mean anything for example maybe even more reserved or self-sufficient?

Don't get me wrong I love courting her daily even though I'm doing most of the job. Been a month now and just started getting things heated up. Is there an approximate time you would give for a cancer to open up?

I've been open to her and likes that I asked her to date/be with me but said she needs time to get to know me. She likes kissing with passion but I always have to create the atmosphere. She just started kiss me first once but very quickly. I told her if you're not interested just tell me, better to get hurt once now than for long later. And that's what I'm trying to find becausr if she is just playing or friendzone me I will be very much affected as I like her very much.

To be honest I remember this is similar to how it happened with my ex-cancerian too. I mean with my ex I still showed my interest first but differently back then, I was more clumsy like I went out to her first but was shy then went back then forward again etc. After quite some time she had to go back to her country for a few weeks (like my current cancerian does now hence I used it as an excuse to distant myself a little) and when she returned she took initiative in approaching me but not to ask me to make out with her. I still had to do it ask her to be my girl and she said yes and the whole process was very quick and smooth from thereafter.
