I've had feelings for my cappy female close friend

...and I thought she had the same feelings like mine too. I was broken hearted when she recently mentioned about her type of girl she's fancy was not like me at all. All these times I thought she likes me by the signals she send to me, such as: praising my appearance & confidence, rely on me because I'm resourceful here in my area, spend time deep conversation for long hours, singing song lines aloud to me, then keep inviting me to her activities & alot more. Btw, she's already married and have kids but she's kinda love eyeing other people too (I wish I was one of them). Anyway, should I step back from her (my feeling will come back if I still 'available' for her) or what you guys recommend me to do?

What you listed sounds like things my cap friends do for anyone that's their trusted friend. Nothing looks exclusive to dating or romantic interest.

Does she have an open marriage? When you talked about her type was that a more joking theoretical conversation or was she seriously talking about dating women?

Either way you should step way back. If she's made it clear you aren't her type and she's married and monogamous (or at least her husband believes so) then you hanging around while nursing a bruised heart is asking for drama and mess.

She's not straightforwardly says I'm not her type, its just that we have these conversations about gay thingy. And says whenever she met a sexy softy girl (I'm not a girl like that lol) she feels like she wants to 'take care' of her. Anyway, she's a foreigner here in my place...her husband and kids stayed at their origin country.

Sounds like things friends do. I don't get not one mixed signal, idk.
