Sudden cold and distance?

I met this Cap at work and she has just grown on me. She always showed those signs of interest; trying get my attention, licking her lips, doe eyed etc.

We caught up once and as I went to pay, she wouldn't let me and paid instead.

The other day at my desk she left a gift out of the blue; she'd spent the last couple weeks making me this scarf I'd mentioned non-chalantly how cool it was at a prior function a few weeks ago. I know she got teased by a couple other work colleagues.

Thing is after she gave me this gift. She has done an abrupt 360. Suddenly not being near me, going distant and also not replying when she previously would instantly.

Whats the go!?

Generally when I stop talking to someone that I once liked It's because that person didn't appreciate my effort or ignored me... I don't need to waste my time where It's not appreciated.

Or because I am usually only loyal to the one person that I really want to be involved with... maybe your cap has moved onto someone else...

You should praise her at work and let her know you like her.

Personally I love when peoole are straight forward and don't play games. Not that you are... I just feel that way.

I'm a cap. I've done something similar and it's because I wasn't really sure of the guy. He seemed nice and we had great chemistry but something just wasn't right. It didn't help that I had someone new to talk to who was a better candidate. There's also a chance you might have done or said something that ticked her off. We always easily find reasons to get rid of people

Maybe she backed off because she thought that she already did enough if not even too much. Maybe she is unsure if you feel the same.

Maybe there's also a stupid gf of hers who told her to back off since she already fave you too much attention.
