At first glance, what would you think of this synastry:

We met last June, I moved in with him within 4 weeks of knowing each other 😬

I saw red flags from the very beginning, so I had no intent of being with him long-term unless he changed.

Packed my bags and ran 900 miles away 2 months after moving in; he was emotionally abusive and I was starting to fear I wouldn’t make it out alive if I stayed long.

We’ve been on-and-off since my departure. Mostly off I’d say. But with my most recent “I can’t do this, I wish you luck” message, he has seemingly found inspiration to be a better person: he’s manifesting better self-concept, he is reading the Bible, wanting to improve himself for me, etc.

A part of me wants him to change so we can be together long term. He’s emotionally exactly like my dad, and there’s comfort I find in that.

Due to CPTSD, I don’t open up to anyone, especially if they show red flags, I’ll selectively feed them information I’m okay with them using against me in the future (though even though that information is carefully curated, it still hurts when they try to use it to harm me).

it's absolutely exciting to be around someone who genuinely is curious about all kinds of things, open to discussions especially in bleak, sterile settings like offices that i just 🤩🤩 ugh it takes me back to uni where so many people were more inclined to be of this nature. encountering a fellow mercurial makes me realize like truly how most people's general convos tend to be about whatever is currently happening in their own personal orbits or maybe about someone they feel like ostracizing or shading. and that gets boring and depressing. where's the genuine interest in ideas? hell even a fire outfit's a better topic than what most everyday people tend to discuss.
