Is that why I'm seeing this pos all over the place lately?

Sounds like a glorified crock pot. What that writer was going on about made me lol because a lot of what was mentioned are what crock pots have been doing for ages, except people seem to have forgotten about it over the decades.

The only difference is the pressure cooker bit.

Also, I have seen plenty of these pop up in thrift stores, almost as much as bread makers. Meaning, they're bought as a "OH MAN SO COOL" type of thing/wedding gift, only to collect dust and then be donated to make space.

In other words, a lol fad. Some people would definitely find a use for it all the time, while many more probably will ditch theirs once the novelty wears off, like @distilled mentioned.

I’ve made cheesecake, spaghetti and chili so far.

It is a crock pot/pressure cooker all in one and other settings for stuff idk if I’ll ever use. I just bought mine last week. I had a cheaper pressure cooker before, and I used it all the time but it finally died. It cuts cooking time in half and I don’t have to touch it until it’s time to eat. So far everything I’ve made the cook time was 9 mins and under. I have a recipe book so I plan on using it more.

I have a toddler and a 4 mth old baby so while it may be “glorified” it makes it extremely easy for me to incorporate dinner and less clean up time
how do you put the food in the pot

or press the buttons

as matter of fact

HOW ARE YOU even typing right now with your hooves?!?!

If you want to stay ahead of the curve, forget the instant pot. So last year. Go for the counter top smart-phone enabled sous vide machine. One of my old coworkers posted hers on FB during the holidays and her page lit up with comments.

lol I love it! but at $ 400 and $ 10 it's so pricey! I've actually wanted to get sous vide cooker for a while.
