I run my business through WP (and make sales online) and my best friends runs his business on Squarespace (and makes sales online).

We argued about this stuff all the time, in the big picture Wordpress is better but it cost you more money and time.

Whereas Squarespace will save you on both. If you aren't making sales online and just using it as a reference for your real life business, go with the time-saver. Try to avoid shared hosting if you can.

Yeah I've been running through WP as well. Never used wix or squarespace.

Does anyone know if these website can support online ordering?

For example, customer wants X, orders and pays on the website. We get the order instantly on our end, they come in or pick up.

FWIW, my company offers website hosting. Our servers are in NC, where many are in another country. From my experience, the closer a visitor is to the server, the less hops they go through, which means it will respond faster.

A major problem with using Wix is that you can't take the design to another host if you want, there's no way to transfer it. If you must use a template program, Wordpress is by far the better option because it's practically universal.

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about using my company as a host :-)
