I hate cooking. I do cook... Occasionaly. But then people look at my creation oddly and decide to order take out.

There are three types of people in this world, those who make dinner and those who eat dinner, and those who make and eat dinner.

Which are you?

I am not a natural cook at all--put me in an apron and I am one cranky girl. I'm so all about eating rather than cooking. Mainly because almost anything I could buy or order is going to taste better than anything I could make. lol. I hate standing there waiting for stuff to cook...aarrrg, especially if I'm hungry. I just want to eat! Plus, there is a part of me that really enjoys being served at restaurants. lol. And now that I'm old enough, I really enjoy asking if I can have "a Coors Light with that" LOL! 😛

LOL Girls!

OK...I confess! I like to cook! I am one who cooks and eats! LOL!

I like to try making new things...and if I try something when I eat out and really like it, I try to figure out how they did it, what they put in it, etc...and then experiment at home! My favorite thing to do is experiment! It is much more fun than just plain cooking!

I don't like to measure either...unless I am baking...then I measure, depending on what I am making...

There are some things that I thought my daughter should have an appreciation for and make at least once...honey whole wheat bread and homemade noodles...also homemade cookies (any kind). These are time consuming things...but, the end result is better than anything you can buy...except maybe the cookies...(depends)...

Thing is, she likes homemade noodles so much that we do it every so often now...once she had a friend spend the night and they begged to make homemade noodles with me! So, we did! We had a blast! I know that sounds stupid...but, we did! They were like age 9 or 10 at the time....we giggled and got flour all over the place! But, we made some awesome noodles and they were so proud, eating what they had made! I had to send some home with Emily, because she was so proud!

When I decided to make homemade Chicken Enchiladas, I searched the net first and compared recipes....then I went to the Mexican grocery store and asked questions and bought ingredients...they were more than happy to answer my questions. They turned out as good as what I have eaten in restaurants! I was pleased and made them for the girls at work the next weekend! (They were pleased too!)

I was afraid of cooking though when I was young...I didn't learn until I was in my 20's. I did the baking when I was growing up though, so, I could bake a pie, a cake, cookies, bars, anything sweet!! But, I sucked at cooking unless it was boiling water!

That would indeed be fun Star to have a cooking get-together! lol, just make sure if I'm cooking anything that you recently changed the batteries in your smoke detector. LOL.

I do enjoy stirring, seasoning and "turning" food while it's being cooked. LOL. In my Home Ec. class in high school, I think is when it was cemented for me that I hated cooking, because my teacher came up behind me and got all Hitler on my ass saying, "That is NOT 'folding'! You must FOLD! NOT STIR!!! FOLD!!!!!". I sat down the bowl and walked out of class and smoked a cigarette. LOL. I thought, oh hell no, this whole cooking thing isn't gonna happen for me. lol. What the hell is folding, anyway— If something has to be folded, it's to fragile for me to mess with making anyway. 😛

She was rude, sounds to me. If she wanted you to 'fold' and thought you weren't doing it correctly, she should have shown you how! (What a novel idea! LOL!) To be honest...I don't quite get 'folding'...it is sorta like a turn-it-over-slowly-stir...something like that! There are too many rules! (I feel weighted down by rules right now...I am not sure why?? Must be my mid-life crisis!! Arrrggghhhh! Help me chicas! I need fun...not rules! LOL!)

OK! Let's come over to my place or your place or any place and cook! Or, I can cook, and ... you can smoke Phoenix (and I can inhale! LOL!) and Lena, you can't smoke...but, you can both make fun of my cooking techniques or show me a better way to do it! Or you can cook with me...or you can tell stories...and we can talk and laugh!
At any rate we will laugh and we will eat!! And I will be able to inhale nicotine without smoking! Gosh, what could be better than that??

What do we want to make? (Or what do you want me to make?)

I am a great cook.... with the exception of the brownies i made the other night that tastes like gelatine *shudder*... but I love to cook (breakfast is my specialty)... I usually shove another person out of hte way and take over for them since i seem to put a lot more care into perfecting the food then anyone else i know. im hungry now.

mmmm... don't make me too hungry Morgan...

that's not all I can cook and you know that... no Luz- I don't watch cooking shows, but i try to make everything i cook look pretty and balanced upon the plate... when i make pancakes i make designs like little men/alien creatures and i successfully made a peace sign once. Only if you don't like onions you'll hate my cooking- i always cook with onions.
