What's the dumbest thing you ever thought?

In 2001 when people said Saddam Hussein, I asked my friend, "What did he sing?"

In 4th-5th grade when I first heard the word suicide I thought they were saying "Sue of Cide", like a British historical figure

In 2020 at my former job we were changing over to BC Scalloped Potatoes, & I asked my boss "should I change the day code to Canadian?" Then he explained that BC stands for Betty Crocker, the product we manufacture, not British Columbia 💀 he was disgusted

That "God guides me & has a Mission for me".

Ended up with me :

- jumpin 3 rows of chairs,

- in a sermon goin on with about 300 people there

- Walk towards the pastor

- punch him in the Face/ knock him out(because he was mockin jesus)

- all while it was being broadcasted on Live tv

- get jumped by 10 mfkers @ the same time.

- dragged outta there

- go to jail

- cops question me next day : "why''d you do it"

I apparently was Demonic asf and answered "Satan told me to", & the 2 big ass cops were scared of me.

- instantly back 2 cell

- 5 cops come later & we go to psych evaluation lol

- doctor sends me to a mental hospital for a week.

Later got charged for minor battery & sent to prison again for 40 days.

Got out last july.

In first days at work I had a laptop. I used it very briefly because I wasn't handed any tasks just yet and I spent most of the time with a colleague learning what she does. One day I left on a break, left my laptop turned on. When I came back it was off. I tried to turn it on but since nothing happened I panicked what could have happened. Another younger colleague was passing by my office and I called him in to ask about it, he looked around and said "did you plug in the charger?"

Guess what? It did not even occur to me to plug in the charger 🤦🏼‍♀️ I came off as dumbest of the dumb, like some idiot who never used a laptop before and I exclusively own laptops for past 16 years 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 so it's maybe better said what I did NOT think off🤣

That's so easy to do

When I got my masters in IT mgmt in '21 and was promoted, I couldn't get my computer to turn on and the 1st shift lead unplugged and replugged some cords, which worked. First step of the troubleshooting tree and I couldn't think to do that freshly postgrad 💀

Reminds me of when the tattoo artist who did my Led Zeppelin tattoo asked me to name the band playing on the radio, and I couldn't. I'm sure you can guess who the band was 💀

I was working in a theater concessions and these guys were fixing one of the entrance doors to the kitchen. I told them I needed to get through there and they just looked at each other and said

"there's the other door"

To which I replied that it was blocked. For some reason I thought those same guys were blocking the other door.

Either way I kinda powered through the door while they were fixing it, with an anxious push.

Later I walked in through the other open door without even realizing, then I realized I came off as an asshole.

When I was 5 I was on the toilet seat and just made the kids at the sandbox choose sides

I was really baffled by that coz I thought we were all one with the universe

I think that’s when I realized other people had feelings too 🤣

I can easily get all As for the next two years 😵‍💫🫨

First guy was a guy i went to college with .. we had been friends for 2 years.

OMG i tried it .. for one year.. ended up the equivalent of an A average .. we have a diff marking system.. 2 bs.

Anatomy and physiology i got an A .. but i dont know how i did it.. they were really hard.

It could be worse. We could be one of those going to church every sunday to find those 'GODLY' young men that people are talking about that all women should want.

They dont drink and they want like 5 kids and want to work and support a wife and 5 kids ALL on their own. lol

When I was 11 or 12 me and my friends found a playgirl magazine and there were dildos with curves in them for ‘g spot action’ or something along those lines, so we interpreted that to mean ‘g spot’ was a curve in the penis. I thought that for way too long.

Oh I have a good one.

I used to believe.. that in house grading was fair. Or that grading in general was fair. And that was the grade you deffo deserved.

Then I saw my dad argue against a grade he got (all my family keep studying we have like a million degrees between us .. he has like 2 phds by now) and getting a better grade.

I still didnt believe it . until i got top marks in a class i felt i struggled in. Basically i got an A but should have gotten maybe a b at best.

The grades ... do not matter. Its putting your soul.. into it.

I feel grades are like putting value to LV purses ... versus hand made bags.. arbitrary at best.

Also I got like a C on a paper that my professor said was the best paper he had ever written but because i had refused to cut down on words and edit it. .. it got marked down for technicality .. he still used the paper in his class to teach today.

I met someone who was in his class and he was like are you the girl who wrote that paper?? I was like yeah... 'he still talks about that paper''.

- doctor sends me to a mental hospital for a week.

Later got charged for minor battery & sent to prison again for 40 days.

Got out last july.

Figuring out The Truth, takes lots of L's - but later turn to W's.

But i think the pastor finally had a melt-down.

Cos visited the church 3-4x before this incident happened.

he was always desperately asking for donations i.e. the church wasnt doing good.

Guess he finally snapped on stage.

Probably that drinking 16 shots of rum then smoking an entire blunt and melting into my bed was peak human experience. Being sober from any substance for 4 months taught me being able to sleep, having better health, being the best version of myself I can, and just living like a normal person is actually peak human experience.
