@VirgoGent Why did you guys not choose the leo board? What led you guys to decide for the gemini board? Was this a joint decision or just an idea one person pitched and everyone just agreed to? How did you feel about your team as a whole? How could have this been done better? Why should you stay? Who should go? and why?
I decided on Gemini board because UVD has past and present experience dealing with Gemini guys in a relationship. This made it very easy for her to write a thread targeting Geminis as she would have plenty to write about.
UVD and I discussed her idea and I agreed that it was a good one so I told her to go ahead and write the thread. We were the only two participating at the time as the other team members were either not available or just MIA. It was getting late and I had to make a decision. I told her to write it.
I believe we have a strong team and will only get better as we move forward.
It could have been done better if we could have figured out a way to get more Gems into our thread. Our thread topic was too specific and not broad enough to illicit interest from the whole Gem forum. We wanted a believable and credible thread that didn't seem like a troll thread. That may have hurt us.
I should stay because I carried my weight as a project manager and team member. I was in constant contact with our team members passing along info and strategy tweaks. I located and set up a private chat room for us to discuss our task and our initial course of action. I was also active in the thread posting and responding to the active Gems in the thread. I played my part well and should stay because of it.
Damnata should go. She was not an active participant until around 3:45PM EST today. Once she entered the thread she only posted a handful of times. It wasn't long after she arrived that she messaged me saying that she should be the one fired for her absence. Said it was only fair to the rest of us. She also messaged @AfternoonDelights22 and told him the same thing. Her absence and lack of participation can't be over looked.
I was irritated I was made to post about gem guys by justagirl lol More than that I didn't want people to troll our board. You would have done the same thing in your Taurus board.

i did try to play it off as if i didn't know her thread was part of this and i do feel guilty. but Nights did say to come up with a strategy to get people to join in.. mine was to contact you directly for help. If that was wrong then i own up to it. But to publicly out our thread was not nice.

Last thing i will say however, for eveyone that plays mafia and other games, they sure get uspet when others do exaclty the same stuff when they are playing games. So i guess i don't understand why people would then turn around and do it to other people playing a game. Guess that is something i will just have to come to terms with and realize people gonan do what they gonna do and try my best to not do those things to others.

But even if I were not to count some of Instants posts in that thread. Dream Team had 34 more posts by Geminis which was far more than enough to win so it would not have made a difference because some of instants posts in the thread I didnt count anyway

But the majority of replies were counted except when geminis were talking about apprentice and how the threads were a game
Posted by AfternoonDelights22I believe our Team did well. We were well organised in my opinion. Communication from the PM was consistent and good guidance was provided throughout the task. The time difference is a factor but despite this. There was constant communication. I agreed with the topic that was created as this in my opinion was very believable. My concern about about the topic requesting only Gem Suns of certain houses respond was raised but I feel this did not hinder responses too much. Our thread was good. We stayed on topic for the most part which I assume was the main point of the task. I was perhaps wrong here.

Posted by febyYes we worked well in my opinion. Granted Damnata was not around much but we were given updates from the PM of their whereabouts and when they planned to be online. Understanding of the fact things happen and you can't always be online the players who were avaliable picked up the slack in my opinion.

Edit reply: yes that is true. But you have to factor in the time difference. The boards busy time starts at around 3pm my time. The busiest times are then only from 1am my time at which point I am asleep. So to is Damnata. It's not an excuse but must be a factor

JUDGING POINTS:
Whichever thread gets the most responses from the people of that sign will be graded highly, but the teams will also be judged on the believability that their thread is real, as well as the creativity in the thread
You guys won believability from the judges
But the highest grades came from getting Geminis to post in the thread
I did try and take the time differences into consideration
There is 2 europeans on #Winning and only 1 on Dream Team but Dream Team also has scruffles and jag who cannot check the threads much while at work and also had starwars who naps a lot so it is pretty even

Our team could easily have gotten gems to respond had we not stayed within the topic itself. JUDGING POINTS:
Whichever thread gets the most responses from the people of that sign will be graded highly, but the teams will also be judged on the believability that their thread is real, as well as the creativity in the thread

Edit reply: yes that is true. But you have to factor in the time difference. The boards busy time starts at around 3pm my time. The busiest times are then only from 1am my time at which point I am asleep. So to is Damnata. It's not an excuse but must be a factor

From the rukes that were presented i never was left with thinking we are obliged to stay on topic. Only that the believability of the thread would be factored, which obviously was not our concern once we were outed and scruffles was unable to be active. So it probably isnt the game creator problem how the other team interpreted the rules. Just saying 😄

Scruffles had Champ here and there with fknNerd. But then it was just her until Starwars showed up 7 hours later which was basically 6am my time. Amidst all of that the thread stayed a float. It only take 1 or two people to spark something which is evident.click to expand

@Queenofthepheasantfairies how do you feel your contributions have helped this first challenge? How did you feel about virgogents leadership as PM? How could have this been done better? Why should you stay? Who should go? and why?
sorry I am still responding to all the earlier posts.
But
I think I would have been able to contribute a alot more had I understood the requirements better so with this in my my performance was average at best.
I believe our project manager showed good leadership. I was kept in contact with them at all times (excluding time difference of course) and proved guidance and encouragement.
I think the rules need be be explained a little more logically perhaps as had I known we did not need to stay on topic as such I could have milked the gems a lot better than I did. Using the reference of fundraising for example. Its like being told to raise funds for Cancer research and I come back with having raised funds for the red cross. End result is the same but not how we got there, because funds were raised.
I think I am a good team member who does have more to add to the team, given the chance.
My vote of who to go will be for Damanta. I feel despite unforseen circumstances a little less effort was put in compared to the rest of the team. My performance included.

For the following task the two teams will have to try and make one of the following boards great…I would say again…but you’re really going to have to make them great for the first time ever.
You must sell the board you choose as becoming “hip” and “cool” by coming up with a concept for it.
You will choose between the following:
Dreams Board
Fashion & Beauty Board
Health Board
*You will do all of this by starting a thread in one of those boards.
You have to include and accomplish the following:
1. You must create the new “symbol” for that board. The symbol could be anything from a logo you make yourself, to a picture from online, to a picture/photography you take yourself. Or maybe even something outside the box like a theme song. You must come up with something creative to be the new symbol for the board you choose.
[This “symbol” should be in the first post of the thread you make]
2. You must create something that represents why this board will be hip and cool now thanks to your team. Someone from the team must then post this in the thread that is created. Once again this can be something like photography, or pictures, Videos, a painting/Drawing, or a poem, or ANYTHING creative that you can come up with.
*Unless your creation is a writing of some kind, you must write about why whatever you have created represents the board you chose.
[Has to be at least ONE creation, but can be more if you choose to do so]
3. Someone on the team must give a “presentation” on why the board you chose will be better under the guidance of your team. The presentation does not have to be long, but you must CREATE something to go along with it. Once again this could be anything creative from a side show, to photography, to a video, to a drawing, or whatever you can think up.
*If a written presentation it should be no more than 4 paragraphs, but has to be more than 1.
[There is to be at least ONE creation associated with the “presentation” but can be more if necessary]
The teams will be graded on a score card from the judges and whoever averages the higher score will in.
All three things will be graded individually and added to the total score for the team.
Both teams will also be graded on the following:
-The creativity of the teams will be graded highly
-Teamwork
-The entertainment of the thread (from the team not anyone who isn’t playing)

By concept I mean that you are trying to come up with a way to sell the board you choose as cool. So in essence you are trying brand the board you choose as your own. So consider it like half marketing campaign and half trying to brand the board as cooler with your ideas.
