It was a joke. Don't read too much into it.

If it wasn't a joke he'll seek you out in person and make that known. But I'm 99% sure it was a joke.

however, at this point none of us were flirty.. what i'm trying to understand is if he read too deep into my "this is not a FB conversation" thinking I want to take it to somewhere else (what I actually didn't mean) or he was just joking around.

How do you know he wasn't flirty? You can't read emotions through text...
