I quit in 2014, for good. Or so I thought. I thought I was free. Then I picked it back up in 2016, two years later. I gave myself an excuse.. I was coping with a breakup, and it was only for a month.. two months.. three months.. It's been almost 9 months and I'm still smoking. I think I've broken up three or four packs now, telling myself I'm done, but then I go out with friends for a drink and it starts all over again. I know the only way I can quit is cold turkey. It's just very, very hard to quit when everyone in your current social group smokes too.

I've noticed location is a huge trigger for me. There is this coffee shop I go to - the oldest independently owned coffee shop in my state - and I know so, so many people there, and they all smoke. When my ex and I split, I felt lonely, so I started reading there quite often. It was a great way to make casual conversation and meet new friends. My problem is that most of them smoked, and I quickly found myself doing the same, because I was offered cigarette after cigarette.

I'm going to miss my friends, but I know I simply can't be around them for a while if I want to quit.

@Op Try vaping it still has nicotine and you can pick the level of nicotine. I am in the range of 6 and 12, and I have a membership of 11 bottles of ejuice for a good price each month and they are fruity flavors that are so yummy.

. It's expensive and the parts are expensive its an investment. But I swear I was smoking like alot of cigarettes before. Once I started vaping I can't stand smoking cigarettes it's nasty.
