Make multiple account users transparent.

I think there should be something transparent and known to the members when a member manipulates multiple accounts. I get there is no way to truly tell when someone is abusing multiple accounts, but when a member does get banned for using multiple accounts, it should be transparent and known to the entire community. I feel it's hard to trust new accounts, which are the most important people to dxpnet. Mostly because you never know if they are truly a new member, or simply an older member trolling. I know you can't truly stop multiple accounts from happening, but when it does happen, it should be known and transparent to the entire community imo

that actually makes sense. so i can delete my account, someone can then resurface pretending they're me? then no one would ever notice it's no longer me 😱😱 but why? money lending purposes? generally if anyone asks for money online, just say no.

No. Because at that point they will be more encouraged to simply make multiple accounts. This is dxpnet we're talking about. I do agree with what you are saying, but only after multiple account abusers are completely transparent to the community.

I feel pretty much the same. Though FB is moderated way harder, and the algorithm can easily catch people abusing the TOS. Dxpnet is getting there, but there are still too many children here that would absolutely abuse a complete block function imo.

I'm just saying, the real problem of this site has always been bullies who refused to leave you alone. If Dxpnet want to have high quality of people regularly visiting their site, then they also must be serious on how they wish to protect our privacy and peace of mind.

You can't expect real and authentic people to stays here without giving them the option of not wanting to have interactions with creeps who has history of bullying and doxxing. You just can't. 🤷‍♂️

As for the multiple accounts nutjobs, to me they are pretty easy to spot and ignore, since i never take newbies seriously.

I agree with that, but there should be an era where new accounts are taken seriously. Every single one of us came from a new account at some point, and those members are literally what will make this place continue existing. I just think it's unfair that a new account can't be trusted because everyone is paranoid they could possibly be a troll account. Again I know dxpnet can't stop people from making multiple accounts. They could 100% make it public what multiple accounts were banned however.

No, not exactly. I think it should be more advanced. Simply when a member is banned for using multiple accounts, the user and all the accounts should be sent to all members via pm or notification. Or even simply posted on the front page.

In other words making it transparent and known to all members when another member and all their fake accounts were banned for manipulating tos.

I don't wanna believe ands and bmoon are the same person. I don't think ands would ever perpetrate as a female on this site. I admit. If anything I'm the one that's more than likely and happy to pretend to be a female with a female name for fun and laughter. But I'm not bluemoon. I would never come back to this site an Aries but more likely as a scorpio. The reason I know ands and bluemoon are different is because of the way bluemoon come off. Her nasolabial folds in all her pictures tell the story. Dastard on the other hand, come off as heavyentertainment. At least to me.

That's the thing, they aren't the same person. That doesn't mean someone from the past couldn't come in and pretend to be them. Maybe pancake posted things I don't know about that got them banned the exact same time ands and dastard got banned. I just think it's kind of funny to see all three posting the same exact type of gifs at the same exact time, and also stop posting at the same exact same time also. Does that not seem odd to you?

Growing up with the internet, multiple account days were when many of us were preteens and teenagers. There was plenty of time to kill and troll. I’m still in my 20s but for sometime now I can barely remember any of my logins anymore, I have to write them out somewhere. But most these people with multiple accounts are well in their 30s or older 😬

I actually appreciate the honest response, but the fact is getting banned isn't just a time out. It's a rude awakening you were acting like a child. Making a new account as a loophole in any way is still breaking TOS. I get it's annoying to get a ban, but that time should truly be used to sit back, reflect, and stop making the same mistakes. You could pull a complete 180 and still be you. The realization of you not making multiple accounts to bypass the TOS will make you look more like an adult, and less like a child. Which people will naturally respect.

It actually put a cap on the multiple account problem because you

had to do more things to go around the system to create another account.

(I know this because I literally had to when I was locked out of my original account).

It was more difficult for partners or even siblings to create their own account under one roof here.

People were complaining and the trolls who made multiple accounts were

not even taken serious anymore because of the tag; they were just muted quickly and easier to spot.

So in way, it was a success but... that cap became a problem.

And the host more than likely realized it was the atmosphere of DXPNET

as a collective that made such methods kind of non practical and maybe even harmful.

Because unless, the theme of the site changes, these "ways of

keeping other users from creating multiple accounts" or knowing when another

creates multiple accounts to stop them from their power trip or games will cut into

the current formula of what makes the site run or even be "fun" to the people who come here.



That activity is what helps to create the traffic and why (EDIT: MOST) old members never come back.



Plus, Dxpnet is also probably one of the few classic sites that

isn't heavily moderated and still retains its 1990s early pioneer, loose vibe.

It's no Facebook and there is an essence of myspace basically.

I just want to be clear I'm not saying someone making a fresh new account, or even sharing a phone/ computer should get banned. Only people doing it to bypass a legit ban, or using it to make fake accounts to troll people with. I realize that is pretty much impossible though. There is no algorithm that can tell the difference I guess.

unrelated to topic but i feel kinda bummed when users leave due to being bullied or picked on.

i mean, i understand they’re tired of the negativity and just wanna leave but i feel like that’s sending a message to the bully or whoever it is that’s picking on people that what they’re doing is effective. it makes the bully feel powerful cuz they were able to drive someone away. and they’re gonna continue doing it to someone else cuz they now know that this method works.

the people who announce that they’re leaving are contributing to making the bully feel powerful too.

the way i see it is, if you’re a victim, you didn’t do anything wrong. so why are you the one leaving ?

you should be like, why the f**k do i have to leave?? 😂

I 100% agree. What makes it even worse is privileges like being able to post a picture will eventually be taken away, since full grown adults want to act like children. You can still post pictures in topics, but you have to actually click on it to see it. Which is understandable tbh. Mentally weak adults want to act like children, and harass/ dox other members. Which makes people simply want to quit. It's pathetic, and those who do that should really take a long look in the mirror and ask themselves why they are so miserable to begin with.

i don’t even know how some of these people on here muster up the energy/will to constantly troll specific people on here. i don’t even have the attention span to be on anyone’s ass 24/7 like that.
