I quite like the amount of activity going on here. There is still a lot of activity on each post 🙂

I'm 22, so no, not everyone here is as ancient aged as you think they are. It's not hopeless. It's still quite nice going, in my opinion.

Well, it used to be orange. Obviously black is the new orange. At least this site looks black on my end. I keep my phone screen on dark mode. Lots of catfights used to be going on. No butthurt feelings was around during that era. We had lots of clowns here, used to crack me up a lot. Geminis used to get a lot of heat from everybody.

That's just some of the things that went on when I first arrive on the scene. Dxp had no likes feature (something I can do without)

I can't remember how long ago this been but I once read from a lot of users that a random guy popped up in the middle of a dxp chat in the dxp chat room wearing nothing but his underwear dancing with a vacuum cleaner in his hands and singing. Talk about funny. I laugh so hard reading that until tears fell down my eyes. But those were some of dxp's finest hours.

Younger people tend to be sensitive. Not even saying that like it's a bad thing. Only it makes this place dead, because no one wants to talking about anything controversial. Younger people don't want to talk about racism, sexism, or any other type of "ism" because it's upsetting. Back in the day it was like a dopamine rush. People on dxpnet could go absolutely wild, then still meet back up the next day to get into the next topic. Things aren't like that anymore, and I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing. It just makes a place like dxpnet kind of dead. Like we have more freedom here then any other social media platform, yet people don't care about controversy or hot button topics anymore. Even on a somewhat friendly level, people use to make dumb interesting topics like "If every zodiac sign was a drink, what would they be?" Even stuff like that doesn't happen anymore. It's just a bunch of sensitive youth, mentally tapped out middle age adults, and drunk boomers that seem to have trouble making a tangible sentence.

So, what do you think of moderators?

-Add a "block user"

-Get rid of likes

-Add Moderators

What else?

I dunno what happened. The OGs are all gone and probably growing up and paying taxes.

It's hilarious that DXP has been blocking new users from posting for a while, this going on for the last three to five years at least, and now we wonder why there are no new users

People get their astro fix elsewhere.

When this place was active there weren't many websites that went in-depth on astrology let alone a community to discuss more esoteric ideas with.

Fast forward to today everyone and their mother has a tarot reading page on social media.

Astrology is ubiquitous and mainstream now. When DXP was at its peak astrology was niche.

New users joined for the astrology and stayed for the drama.

Lack of moderation made this place worth staying around for but failed to stamp out bullying and harassment effectively so people left for that reason too

Layout used to be simple, clean and uncomplicated. Nothing like other social media sites.

Old school message board with no like function.

Over time it became clunky and harder to navigate and don't get me started on Ads.

Okay, we'll see.
