Why are u leos so harsh? 😢

i don't think leos are harsh when you recognize that they're all insecure kitties on the inside.

both of my parents are leos and there were times when i needed them to be more open, personable, approachable, friendly. as an adult, i realize that for them, love was about providing for the family, protecting it, being the strong centers that didn't succumb to emotion. so in their view, obviously my brother and i were loved and how dare either of us question it? we wanted for nothing and we were still breathing. anything else were frills that were parsed out on occasion. leo parents really are a watch what i do, not what i say kinda breed.

or look at it in terms of actual lions. watch their behaviors. it'll give you a lil insight into leonine nature. the male lion...that should be easy. the female though, that was more difficult until i realized she does all the real work and it's no wonder she's too tired at the end of the day to play chutes and ladders with the cubs.

what also helps is looking at their opposite - aquarius who are masters at friendship. in a relationship with a leo it's hard to truly get close. my leo-ex was difficult to say the least. being vulnerable and dropping the facade, he just didn't know how. i sensed that he wanted to but for fear of being exposed or appearing weak kept him from doing so.

unlike aqua who you can gradually open yourself up to through the development of a real friendship, you can actually walk away from a leo situation feeling as if you know them but you don't really know them...not the real them. not the person that they see when they're alone.

when you feel you have to be infallible all the time, it takes a lot of energy out of you and in those moments, yeah, leo can be a complete arse.

so stroke them, support them, rub their back, remind them that they are kings and queens and the harshness...what harshness? they'll be purring again.

Agreed. Most of my sisters are Leos. All attitude and bluster on the outside, complete marshmallows on the inside. And the most loyal girls eva. They'd all come at you like a pride if you messed with anyone in the family.

Defense mechanism, of sorts. We don't usually mean to be harsh, things simply come out harsher than intended when you're trying to be cocky. I've noticed people like me more when I'm like this, if I'm not cocky that Cancer moon takes over and nobody likes a mellow Cancer.

My friend is a leo and lately wev got closer then we shud av! I used to be with his friend so after getting with me he freaked out!
He's blown so hot n cold! And now he's gone really harsh!!! Saying hurtful things to push me away!!!
Its like he doesn't care what he says to me or how he makes me feel! Why is that guys? Does this mean he doesn't care? Even tho we been friends for 5 yrs?
Then he just dissapears for months! Tho this time I don't think he's coming back!

People expect Leo to say 'Oh koochie koochie, koo, koo...That's alright. It's Ok. People make mistakes.' Duh! Wish I can say that but a wrong is wrong. No sugar coating. Take it or leave it but one day people will realized 'Yes, the Leo is right.' But Leo is not there anymore to take that compliment.

But it takes 2 to tango! Y am I getting the back lash?? I want my friend back that's all!

I Agree, but i am a Cancer/Leo cusp "July,22" with a Leo moon. I am ic and sweet till you act stupid or hurt someone i love, than watch out!! lol

@ser9123, seems like your friend doesen't want you back. Doesen't seem like he's that into you, if I'm gonna put it frankly. Oh my, am I being harsh now?

well, my main desktop that i've had since like 2003 decided that it wanted to get sick today so i had to rush to walmart to purchase a slave drive in order to rescue my data. i cried, not for the data but for my computer. i mean, other people have dogs, i have hardware. this one was my baby and i think i'll play taps later in honor of its dedicated service for the past 7 years.

I know a few Leo's and most of them are very polite and careful people. Sometimes they can be mean but it's always in a playful manner (from my personal experiences). They also don't mind you giving it back to them either! As long as it isn't over the top of course. I tend to find that Leos are very caring and most of them are quite friendly and playful. I don't find them harsh at all, the ones I know anyway.

i can come off sounding harsh when someone asks me my opinion and if i feel it strongly. for example... a few weeks ago my band was playing for a local festival. one of the amps blew in the first set and they completely fucked up the first song trying to recover. afterward i approached my drummer, bassist, and some girl my drummer was macking on. i came right in the middle of the conversation to hear my drummer pointing it out while the girl protested out of politeness. immediately my drummer turned to me and asked if they had butchered the first song. i bluntly said "yes". no sugar-coating, and i even said it with a smile (cuz the performance that night was amazing otherwise!), but the tone came off very harsh. my bassist, being the cute little cancer he is, was of course a little defensive about it but even he couldn't argue that it was botched.

i'm not a yes-man. if i am asked for an opinion i will say it confidently and without remorse or guilt. call it the lion's pride...

aqualeo, why are you trying to rationalize with a fixed sign? as a fixed sign yourself, you should understand our very nature. all fixed signs are generally unapologetic for our short-comings...even though we recognize them.

tell a taurus that he/she is stubborn. answer is "no."

tell an aqua that he/she is cold. answer is, "as ice."

tell a scorpio they're crazy. answer is, "as a bed bug."

tell a leo they're mean. answer is, "get over it."

where other signs might feel bad for their short-comings, we're fare less likely to view them in that way. everything you're saying about leo may indeed be true but getting these guys to alter their behavior...i'd have a better chance convincing you not to be weird...on tuesdays 😛

the leos that you're having issues with are fairly easy to understand. you know why they're behaving badly. instead of being miffed about it, learn to manipulate them in your favor. that's what they'd do after all.

so stroke the kitty, figuratively rub its back, stand by its side. why make an enemy of a sign that will fiercely protect those it cares about to the end?

Well, I've read the whole thing from top to bottom. I will only say this. There is a difference between opinion, observation, and harshness just to be condescending, to make yourself feel better. Being blunt is what I do. I don't really tend to sugarcoat much really. Not even if I really really like you. but I get a little up at arms when someone is just harsh and mean. There is a boundary line between harsh, and saying it like it is. I reckon' that's all I gotta say bout it. :p

How do leos react to a girl indirectly letting him know she likes him.
