How do I handle jealousy from a teen Leo female that I mentor? Will call her B for this example.

I've been put on B's radar because someone we both know complimented how I look in front of her, and lately B has gained weight/feeling self-conscious. I, on the other hand, have been getting healthier and looking better.

Almost immediately, B has been trying teen bully tactics (like trying to prove to herself that I'm not so great anyway - putting my makeup down, why I haven't done my nails, etc. - really stupid and petty stuff).

She's even asked me to not wear makeup, so she can see what I look like without it.

She's also been pulling away from our sessions, and that's a problem because it's my work.

How do I put a stop to this right away? Call her out? Ignore it? Focus on the work?

I'm too old for this shit

Help her feel comfortable. Dress down a bit, don't wear too much make up, etc.

Try to build a relationship with her. Talk about common interests. If she loves owls, buy her something cute with owls on it. Show her that you care about her.

helpful..

If I were you I would call her out on it. Not confront her head on, but tell her you noticed she is acting different lately (touch her arm or something if thats allowed) leos are physical creatures, that mixed with you opening up about something will make her want to be vulnerable too.

ask her if something is bothering her or if you did something to offend since you noticed she is being defensive

hope it helps!

Remember- your the adult in the situation.

Whatever you choose to do- make sure your acting appropriately.

Calling- or implying- a teenage girl (whom you mentor) is fat/insecure/jealous etc..

Could have significant ramifications going forward, if she chooses to tell your superiors.

You have a LEO moon.

Probably why you're able to identify this so easily.

I can't understand though why someone who is

so much older would even register on her radar.

What would make you feel better?

Update - thanks for all your great advice.

I did a combination of dressing down and directly asking her if something is up (in a general way). Seems like she's better this week. I think she's a moody teenager who has relationship issues. At 16, it's tough but I'll continue trying with her best interest in mind.
