my capricorn mother in law is the cerebral one, professor at university teaching career and tons of books, two floors of bookcases. she is an avid reader and lots of newspapers in the morning. with her morning tea.

When I say Leos are not cerebral, I don't mean that we're unintelligent or not academic. We aren't driven majorly by mental stimulation in romance. Leos also need consistent action and a degree of passion to win us over. We need to feel a romantic situation out more than we need to get caught up in our thoughts.

That's totally what I'm worried about. Passion is what drives me... What's funny is we met for drinks and I had the intention to ask her out on a date at the end because I wanted to do it in person. Anyways I asked her at the end and she said "I thought this was a date". Regardless she was open to going for dinner with me next week 🙂

My past situation sounds very different from your present one. Long story short, the Aqua had separated from her ex a while ago and told my friends that she never wanted to see him again. Two of my Sag friends, one of which had known the Aqua for nearly a decade, introduced us since we were both single. We eventually started dating after that.

Unbeknownst to everyone though, the Aqua was lying. She had never truly broken up with her boyfriend. Eventually another one of the Aqua's friends, A Virgo ,informed us that the Aqua was actually not who we thought she was. Having also known the Aqua for nearly a decade, the Virgo explained that the Aqua would lie about breaking up with her boyfriend to get attention from other guys whenever she wasn't happy in the relationship. This of course inspired all of us to stop talking to the Aqua altogether.

Since Leos tend not to be cerebral and because Aquas tend not to be emotional, neither sign is equipped to handle the other. Both signs will seek the own the others heart and mind respectively, but neither will want to be controlled.







That's not to say the connection can't happen. Leos and Aquas wind up together a lot. Usually the gap is bridged through a sense of loyalty, mutual respect, and a sexual connection. Communication can be tricky, but if it remains logical, it can also keep things glued. Miscommunication is common though, so things can quickly fall apart due to misunderstandings.







That being said, I dated an Aqua and it ended horribly. She burned her bridge with not just me, but our mutual friends as well. The friends who got us together literally no longer talk to her.

Mind if I asked what happened? I'm a Leo and an Aqua is pursuing me. I know that they stand back and dissect your every move for a bit, which I feel happening. But I'm just trying to get an understanding of what to expect and see if I want to invite him into my life or not.

My past situation sounds very different from your present one. Long story short, the Aqua had separated from her ex a while ago and told my friends that she never wanted to see him again. Two of my Sag friends, one of which had known the Aqua for nearly a decade, introduced us since we were both single. We eventually started dating after that.



Unbeknownst to everyone though, the Aqua was lying. She had never truly broken up with her boyfriend. Eventually another one of the Aqua's friends, A Virgo ,informed us that the Aqua was actually not who we thought she was. Having also known the Aqua for nearly a decade, the Virgo explained that the Aqua would lie about breaking up with her boyfriend to get attention from other guys whenever she wasn't happy in the relationship. You haven't said anything I didn't already figure out. That's fairly obvious after the fact. It wasn't obvious however at the time, since the Aqua lied about everything and so no harm in doing so. Generally if someone doesn't like you, they don't waste their time talking to you and going out on dates. The fact that she went out of her way to lie to not just me, but to the people who introduced us was the reason everyone shut her out.

My point being that when it comes to romance and long term, Leos and Aquas often don't work because of fundamental differences. Leos want someone who'll be emotionally direct with us. If we don't like someone, we won't stick around and waste that person's (or our own) time. We expect that same mentality in return.
