I don't understand what is meant by more-evolved , less-evolved signs. Is it something you are born as? Or is it something you can work on, to grow from less to highly-evolved like personality-development-thing? And if you can become , then how do you do it? I'm a Leo female and personally I would definitely like to keep that ego in check 😛
Finally! Someone is asking the real questions. This is something I've tried to research myself. As a Leo, people tend to put us in this box of proud, over indulgent, jealous beings with huge hearts who like to have fun. Granted those aspects can play a part, but how much they play is determined by the Leo's maturity level (the same is true for Scorpios apparently). Simply put, Leos who do not take the time to self reflect/learn (or who simply embrace the concept of being a Leo) tend to fall into their negative characteristics a lot faster than those who strive to be better and break that mold.
I always hear that Leo men are womanizers and that we bore easily. I can personally attest that while I have never had an issue speaking with women, it's really difficult for me to stay interested in more than one woman at a time (I can't juggle women). I'm not big on going on a lot of dates with random women as a result. There are other sources that will state Leo males will not take a woman seriously until she"proves" herself. That is definitely more my personality. As a Leo, I'm looking for my Lioness of course. That doesn't mean I'll treat her poorly, it just means she will be a friend/acquaintance until I see something unique in her.
What most people misunderstand (Leos included) is that Leos can be extremely complicated creatures and have a lot of potential as a result. While most signs start off with many of the tools they need to thrive, Leos start off with less. As a result we have to work to evolve a lot more as people (again apparently like Scorpios). Apparently there are 3 stages to being a Leo: the cub, the lion, and the sphinx. The Cub of course is selfish, arrogant, clingy, and jealous. After reach a certain level of emotional maturity, a cub can grow into a Lion. The Lion is still egotistical and proud (and possible jealous), but exemplifies better qualities such as extreme loyalty, inner strength, and protectiveness. The Sphinx is the high level and has shed itself of it's negative aspects to attain a higher sense of self. Sphinxes while still proud have a wisdom to quell their egos. A Sphinx is a Leo's true potential, but many Leos arguably remain in the Cub stage most of their lives.
Also remember maturity has NOTHING to do with age. While children all start off as Cubs, that does not mean every adult is a Sphinx (or even a Lion). Adults can be Cubs just a easily. Only through self reflection and observation, can a Cub grow into something more by taming it's ego. (While there are several sites that go into this, take a look at this one: http://psychicreadersnetwork.com/astrology-signs/leo-sun-sign.php)
Haha, cool atleast you found the question interesting. 😛 So, what I understood is you can actually work on yourself and always 'evolve' to a better form. As far as I know, I'm not exactly a cub, but not a lion either yet. Maybe in transition or something. Actually I have never been a true Leo . I have a very introverted personality. I do like to make people laugh, but only open up when I'm with people I care about. Don't like being center of attention, won't be found at parties or clubs (even though I'm in my mid-20s). Even my August-born friends joke that I'm a fake Leo. 😛 But still that ugly ego rears its head sometimes, I hate that part of myself. Sometimes, I would even get jealous of my friends, then I have to remind myself that they are my friends!!! Kinda makes me feel like phony and sh*t at that time. So, been thinking about all these things for quite sometime now. Being an introvert, I know, atleast the one thing I'm good at is introspection . 😛
Also, you keep mentioning Scorpios. My boyfriend is a scorpio. Lol. Everywhere they say, Leo-Scorpio are like all-or-nothing. Lets see what happens, thats another story itself.
Anyways, what would you suggest trying and experimenting in this journey to "evolution" ? Any helpful pointers?
It's something that comes with time and with life experience. It's a Leo who has learned to give of him/her self for the betterment of others. The ego becomes less important and patience grows. One becomes more forgiving of one's self as well as of others. It's a Leo who has learned the lesson that no one is perfect.
