The woman who was in the car accident is gay, in case that has any bearing on your comment.
Libra men ARE good samaritians and rescuers by nature. I have dealt with several in my lifetime and I know. They are also very evasive and hard to read. They do not like when a woman calls them out. If you like him you will not take this too seriously.
He and I are pretty calm around each other...when I told him I felt I was being blown off, I wasn't in an uproar about it. He just called me and we talked for about 30 minutes. This friend's condition and health were my top concern and I told him he was a great friend...but in a joking way, I said "well since we know your friend's gonna be alright, you do know you owe me, right?" He laughed and said "Oh yes and I will pay up"...🙂
I am all about doing the right thing and helping other people. I would have probably went to check up on her too.

Doesn't matter. He was trying to do the right thing and you gave him grief about it. To be perfectly honest, you were being selfish. I bet he will file this and think about it later.
Possibly so.
((I bet he will file this and think about it later.))) lol... he will... and he will sure feel houstonspeech might end up being a pain whenever he is in need to help others.
me often forget myself when i see someone in need of help. its irresistable. and tats one reason why my parents and friends call me a loser. they wont understand.
life is good. 🙂
You may very well be right about "filing it for later", but gosh can he kiss and make up.... lol
Yeah us Libra guys have the good samaritan complex. It is so ingrained when we see people in need we go rushing, sometimes not thinking about anything else first.
It is a good trait but there are downsides. Sometimes I get myself in bad situaitons being the good samaritan because I will rush to help an ex and not realize at the time it looks really suspicious when my only intentions are truly platonic. Or see a neighbors house of fire and scale three fences and land on a pile of scrap metal only to realize I am cut up pretty bad after the adrenaline goes away and didn't do anything the fire department did way better after they arrived 😉
It's a double PITA when you try to stop us from it because while we can be wishy-washy, playing superman isn't one of the things were undecided on. And when we think were right we KNOW we are right so any objection will cause strife. The best way to object to a Libra and not have them set you aside is let them know how things make you feel and include a damn good reason. If it's heartfelt and reasonable we will listen.

troooo!
We always try to understand where you are coming from as long as it isn't laced in a lot of emotion.
"We always try to understand where you are coming from as long as it isn't laced in a lot of emotion."
I thought Libras were full of emotion? The Libra guy pursuing me is very wordy in terms of how he feels. His emails and text messages to me every morning are lengthy. Instead of a simple "Good morning, have a good day", he types things like "Good morning sunshines. I hope your day is fantastic and full of life", etc...it's really sweet.
no, i don't know....
are you saying it's an act? 😢
i used to think he spoke the way he does because of how he learned English - he's Lebanese by birth, but has been an American for 20 years. But when he talks, his accent is so sexy and sometimes the words he uses throw me off guard.
I say stuff like this too: he types things like "Good morning sunshines. I hope your day is fantastic and full of life",
I always mean it.
Emotional I mean negative emotions like anger, hate, frustration. We don't deal with those well. They kill our sunshiney attitudes.
I usually say stuff like that when I am so happy and full of love it comes bursting out of me.
It is a good thing.
sweet. 🙂
he's more mushy than I am. lol...but i don't mind it.
the only thing i'm having a hard time dealign with right now is the fact i haven't seen him in almost a week and he's leaving this Friday to go out of town for 8 days. 😢
"make good use of mails or phone, libras can get quite inventive there 😉"
heehee....oh yes, we've discovered that pictures sent via phones speak a THOUSAND words.
lol
i hate cell phones and text messages though. lol
i have to see and touch someone for it to be 'real'...hard to explain i guess.
I hate the phone! I hate it!
If I never have to answer my phone again, I would be happy. I MUCH prefer email. Then I can think about what I say, take my time answering, yadda, yadda.
another funny side to this samaritan complex is the erotic thoughts triggered inbtween rendering the help. 😉 or is it just me...
Nope, I know what you are talking about. I think we like to be thought of as saviors and protectors, so it comming into action is arousing.
I don't know. I am usually the one who looks after strangers I see in distress like call 9-11 and stay till help arrives and makes sure they are okay. I have done it any number of times.
As I have said many times, I figure we are all in this together.
4 months back, I pulled 5 people out an immigration detention room in damascus when me myself got locked up with some strangers for no particular reason. I even paid for one of the guys flight ticket to take him out of tat stupid place. cant help... just cant help. when i start deducting as usual, the whole thing makes more sense if i act compared to me standing still when there is an opportunity to help someone in need. Sometimes i think i do it bcoz i dont want to answer my conscience at a later point of time.

Ok, so tell me what you think of this. The Libra guy surprises me at work today, towards the end of the day. Luckily I was the only left in the office, so we kinda fooled around, but I told him we had to be cautious of how far we went. His hands were ALL OVER the place. He said let's go back to your place and watch Gray's Anatomy. He remembered that I like that show. So on the way, he gets a call from a friend of a friend stating they had been in a car accident. He calls me and tells me that he will be just a tad bit late meeting me at my apartment and he told me about these friends. He said he's not that close to them but the mutual friend called him and asked him to see if he could go there. He mentioned maybe twice that he wasn't really close to the woman who was in the accident. So I ask him "What can you do that the ambulance and police aren't already doing then? Especially since you're not that close to them." His reply "It's more about being a good samaritan".
Long story short, I told him I felt that I was blown off and he says I wasn't.
What do you you all think?
