Let's face it...

Gone are the days of peace. Humans being way smarter(or thinking they are smarter) than other species, have successfully managed to build in too much of troubles bcoz of greed and insecurity and fear. We are far more well off than anyone in the 18th century dreamed of. And we have multiplied like virus and have been successfully screwing up the nature and all its resources without any remorse. Some morons accelerated the whole thing by saying humans were meant to dominate rest of the species. Somehow we even managed to make a few million of them extinct. The more number we are, the more developed we get, the more we consume, the more we destroy nature and unbalance the whole thing and make it hard for every other species. And no nation want to control the population growth bcoz less population means they would loose out of the global economic competition between other nations. So it only supports the greed factor to have more population.

I stopped balancing things based on our own species quite a while ago in case i forgot to mention. That somehow seems more logical than surrendering my logic to a collective sympathy for human species. Now I try to balance off from natures perspective. And without a lot of natural calamities and wars and atrocities among human species, we are gonna multiple like anything and end up causing our own extinction. So i find the escalating number in aids, smokers, other major diseases, the arms race, wars, genocides, disasters and all as favorable factors. Even though half of it is caused by humans itself, humans are a part of this nature and our thoughts and actions are controlled by nature. So basically nature does its balancing act in different ways weather we like it or not.

So stop complaining about what has been going wrong across the world. Its silly and pointless.

Humans can make the world a wonderfull place full of love , compasion , ...
but they can also do the verry oposite..

no we cant. we simply cant make it any better than it was. We thought we could. And we ended up messing it up further.

We think we are dominating. We are not. There is a fine line between destroying and dominating. We simply cannot dominate something where we belong. that thought was injected into us by religion thinking that's what god wanted out of us.

And am not pinning everything on religion/God. I would say its ignorance of human beings which causes trouble. Any belief system is only a part of that greater ignorance.


and mooneyes, peace is simply not absence of war. Its more about how much in peace you are with yourself. It all originates from ignorance, insecurity and fear of individuals.

i also agree with thelibran on this one. altho, i do believe there is SOME population control. just not enough to matter and alil too late. but that's something i have to do alil more research on.

Is it worth spending so much of energy to debate on what to be done when it cannot be done and the entire history has supporting evidence?

It does not matter Mankind is heading towards a self-destructive path. Apparently the econbomic process is still controlling the consumption of resources. We maybe mutiplying like a virus and destroying the ecological equlibroium, but economics is still controlling the population growth. Population growth is impossible in areas with extreme poverty and high death rates, and even in fist world countries, not all the citizens are rich slobs. People still live in the streets if they stop working. I admit there is a massive increase in the consumption of resources, but the fact that not everyone can afford these resources is a way of consumption control.

You do not really need to look so bleak. Perhaps a death trip near the apocylapse will wake people up and help them take effective measures against it.
