LOL Kudos to him for trying but this would be one of my worst fears! One thing that can really traumatize me is bad food. That's one mental fuckery for me. Just thinking I'd have to eat something terrible makes me feel like cringing.
If he's open to it, you can teach him. There's a lot of infographics about food too and which seasonings go well with it. That's a good start.
This is one example of it.

I can't cook either.
Last time I tried to make a soup, I went overboard trying to be "creative"...ended up with the entire damn kitchen in the pot. I think I had tomato sauce, coconut milk, taro, tofu, chicken hearts, olive oil, olives, spaghetti and eggplant all in there.
yea...took a bite...yes, a bite of "soup", because whatever it was, it sure the fuck wasn't soup by that point....and noped right out of the kitchen to buy some Luna bars for dinner.
Now, you see why Libras prefer eating in restaurants? It ain't cause they're trying to be a fancypants.click to expand

Immediately, I'm like fuccckkkkk :/
While I appreciate the gesture - he's a terrible cook.
The last time he made dinner he grilled steaks - which he seasoned with some kind of mesquite seasoning for chicken. It was weird. He was laughing himself at how terrible they were. But I insisted it was fine because I didn't want him to feel bad. I even asked him what he used to season them, and he said "I don't know, some shit in the cabinet" .....I just can't.
Tonight he made turkey tacos. As soon as I walk in he's looking all cute with these puppy eyes and says "don't be mad, I burnt all the food." Normally I would pretend it was still good because he tried - but tonight I just couldn't...I had to tell him. I was laughing, like how did you even manage to make it this bad? Lol
Also, I swear he used every pan and cooking utensil we owned and there was ground turkey pieces EVERYWHERE.
Do I just appreciate that he tries - or do I seriously tell him DON'T, PLEASE
