Ay, you are discrediting that side of you as if it were bad. You are simply surrounding yourself with the wrong individuals if you were to feel so, sometimes we can not help who we our or our nature, to change our ways to fit other people's molds will be but agony. I kid you not, it spreads like wildfire on a hot summer's day in the outback.
Frankly, why do women feel the need to physically fight for the man. Do excuse me, but I can not understand you ladies there, I would never fight for my man that way. It is full of drama, unnecessary and I have an reputation to uphold. Maybe it is a difference in style s, in regards to passions but I simply do not have that in me, or maybe I am lazy. Who knows?
In my opinion, maybe a verbal lashing here or there but otherwise clear communication or I walk.

It became worse in the sense we took each other for granted at one point. Being with another leeb also makes it tough. We both mirrored each other and nobody really wanted to take a step back and change something. That lasted for a year and it got better later when we were finally on the same page. I heard from some other couples that that beginning stage into marriage (that piece of paper) changed something in them also.

To the ladies, is the lack of charm in a guy a deal breaker? I mean you do realize a guy can be interesting without being particularly charming. Plus I think charm is a personality trait unique to people on an individual level. I don't think everyone has charm, does this automatically make you gloss over them because a guy isn't trying to charm your pants off?
Firstly, what is your definition/understanding of charm?
Here is another definition of "The Charmer" -
"Charm is seduction without sex. Charmers are consummate manipulators, masking their cleverness by creating a mood of pleasure and comfort. Their method is simple: they deflect attention from themselves and focus it on their target. They understand your spirit, feel your pain, adapt to your moods. By drawing you in with their indulgence they make you dependent on them, and their power grows. Learn to cast the Charmer's spell by aiming at people's primary weaknesses: vanity and self-esteem."
Although, I must say your definition sounds more like a playful teaser. It truly depends on the woman, some do not understand the rapport that is found in chemistry with a "Charmer" so to speak. Therefore in their world, such an attitude and style of communication is non-existent. Just as you said, charm itself as a personality trait is not found naturally in many individuals, therefore there are just as many women who have not truly felt nor understood it. Because they were never exposed to it, or even if they have, they may not feel a pull towards a person who has it show it be demonstrated. If one must compare it, sarcasm/sarcastic trait is appreciated by some, not all, an acquired tastes as in wine and music.
Personally, I enjoy bantering with another individual who understands the terms of teasing and charm because that is where I find pleasure, playing with words, communication, body language, all these nuances keep me on my toes and my mental/or in some cases emotional energy going. One being interesting and charming are hardly mutually exclusive although one thing is a turn off, when a man who takes himself far too serious where he loses his sense of humour. That, in my opinion, is a turn off for most women.

If the man has no brand of charm at all, not even in a quirky way in which I could find intriguing, sexy and endearing all at once. Then personally I might gloss him over, because that is my style of rapport, anything else would be forcing communication that would not work, which happens. One would be wise to leave what does not fit together, no point fitting a square peg into a round hole.
