2011 DXP Awards?

Wonder if it's ever been done? A public acknowledgement of certain individuals contributions to this crazy ass website. If it sounds appealing then here's how I think it would happen.

First off I would like to sit on the sidelines just as the guy that brings out the award and not be considered for ANY of the nominations for personal reasons. Thank you.

Carefully consider the categories and who pops into mind that fits that persona to a "T". If you can't think of an individual, refrain from putting one if they don't epitomize that characteristic for you. To prevent any hardship among voters and nominees all votes should be PM'd to a third party to be tallied at the end and posted. Also since this isn't set in stone please feel free to add any categories I may have overlooked or if one seems too broad or narrow please advise.

Some possibilities are . . .

Most Optimistic

Most Pessamistic

Most Offensive

Most Humorous

Most Insightful

Most Sympathetic

Most Poetic

Most Diplomatic

Most Romantic

Other categories that may need clearing up in the descriptions.

Most in tune with theirself and their life and path

Most Spiritual or in tune with a higher power and follows the Golden Rule

Most Paranoid

Most Crass

Most Cryptic

Most Overall Helpful

And now some superficial categories.

Best looking Male

Best looking Female

Most Conceited

Most Nosy

Biggest Instigator

Ha! I've thought about posting this kind of topic before! But I didn't b/c I figured people wouldn't take it seriously and that they'd purposely use the "superlatives" as a means to spit venom or sarcasm towards others.

True, to vote means we actually have to like and pay attention to each other enough.

So don't vote. Nobody's forcing you to. This is not an election and carefully studying the candidates does not have to happen. This is just to congratulate persons who stand out in someone's mind. If you've been touched by an individuals posts (or hurt) and feel like calling them out privately and in confidence, here's your outlet.

Lol, I was being sarcastic (It's Monday. I'm always a sarcastic and bitchy mess). It'd probably be fun if it all turns out well.

The only hard part would be to get good nominations and actually have people vote.

yes. Literally I can't get one person to pop up twice in some categories. Just a new name each time. More votes = more chances at breaking the ties.
