Understanding Alpha, Sigma, Beta, Gamma, and Omega Males
These terms categorize male social roles based on personality and dominance traits. Alpha males are often confident leaders, Sigma males are independent and self-reliant, Beta males are more passive, Gamma males may challenge authority, and Omega males tend to be more introverted and unconventional.

I don't want to be Alpha.
CC, that's the first article I found on it, as well, but I don't like the way it looks at things. I'm thinking there can be positives to all of these types, however, that list only really viewed alphas, betas, and sigmas positively. The rest were focused on their negatives. The definition aime gave of gamma was rather positive, for example, but that article paints them entirely differently. I'll have to look for another link.

Even more importantly, as I said, I'm going off of moon/rising influence. I think sun signs are next to useless in this instance. The way I've heard women describe Aries moon & Leo moon/rising on this site sounds quintessential alpha to me.
