While going to check my yahoo mail I randomly clicked on an article on Prince William not recognizing Camilla as a step-grandmother to his children. That’s great, the bitch did wreck his parents’ marriage and got his mom murdered. Anyway, that’s not the point. I go straight to the comment section. It never fails to amuse me when there’s always that one American questioning how do Brits manage to always have bad teeth if they have universal healthcare? Unfortunately I’ve had this question myself plenty of times. Apparently it’s because dental care isn’t covered under NHS. It’s privatized. Ok great but this is ultimately about the richest people in the UK having “bad teeth.” That brought on a discussion of how the beauty standard over there isn’t slapping on braces and straight teeth like it is over here. Americans often associate crooked teeth with bad teeth cause we’re artificial as fuck.
I’m kind of tired of it. But then on TikTok you see these incredible makeup transformations especially by Asians who try to improve their bone structure, skinnier nose, bigger/brighter eyes - ALL THROUGH MAKEUP! Like man I don’t even know how to put on eyeshadow…
Idk all this kind of makes me feel a certain way. Like do I feel bad for the insecurity behind all this that people shouldn’t be feeling or the fact that society as a whole has been part of pressuring/expecting women to look a certain way which is becoming more and more revolting. Idk.
I’m personally envious of people who’ve managed to figure out what suits their natural, bare skin because skin sensitivity is a very real issue.

Are you talking about Diana’s promiscuous phase after the divorce? Cause I’ve personally seen it in real life. Pretty girls who’ve married young and as a virgin only to get cheated on or not cared for in a marriage… they can end up going through a promiscuous phase after the divorce due to the destroyed self-esteem from the marriage. Dental care isn’t privatised in the UK and it is covered by the NHS. A lot of people don’t pay anything at all. Adults would pay about £25 for a check up (as Alex says), up to £66 for the next band of treatment (things like fillings) and then £283 for more complex things like bridges, crowns, dentures, etc.
Even privately though a check up would only be £50 in my area.

And famous people do of course get veneers and things like that here, just about everyone on TV has them or at least whitening. I don’t know why the royal family are a bit of an exception.

I definitely agree with this which is why I’m always in my own bubble but I still like to understand the average mindset and mentality behind all this since there are many who go out of their way for so little.

He wasn’t put in jail . He wanted the money and power and position. He could have made his choice or be open about it to whom ever he would marry.
She couldn’t keep her hands off men because she had no man in her marriage. Simple.

I say Camilla gets what she deserved related to the grandchildren. The kids ( William & Harry) have nothing to do with the parents behavior and she was a homewrecker. They ended up losing their mom, can you blame them? Bad enough they have to accept her as Queen. I lay blame on Charles not her, but still it ends up the same.
Dental coverage sucks in the US and braces are rarely covered. It’s expensive. I’m sure glad my parents paid for it though, a missing tooth cause all kinds of chaos in my situation. This whitening teeth stuff looks so weird tho in my opinion.. especially in young people.
