My bf is Russian, have been learning for 1,5 years now to reach a B1/2. I also am planning to move to Russia this summer 🙂 Are you Russian?
MOVE to Russia? Are you living in Mongolia? You've got to be kidding me...

😄 Actually am planning to do my studies there, at least a couple of semesters (Linguistics, Slavistics). I LOVE Russia!

Which parts of Russia are you visiting?
And what is that you love about it?
I am very curious. Thanks

I am usually in the area of Moscow/Vladimir. I am going to apply for uni in another city though, called nizhniy novgorod (approx. 400km further east on the line of Moscow-Vladimir). It is an absolutely stunning and at the same time charming city located exactly at the confluence of the Oka and Volga. I've made some trips to other cities like Kazan' and Petersburg, but all still on the European side. I'd love to see Siberia though, have some friends there. Maybe one day take the trans-Siberian railway 😉
I love the language, the culture. I've had my boyfriend and his family show me some of its facets. The people are awesome, incredibly talented, and their hospitality is beyond compare. And, as odd as it may sound, I love the unpredictability of Russia. As a German, going to Russia and living there among Russians for some days or weeks is always an adventure.
Living in Russia obviously has its downsides, especially when you work there or have a family. But I'm not even thinking that far, for student life it is amazing.
here is a picture of Nizhniy:

I feel so dirty when I play with the shitty ones because I have met some really cool dudes too though( they are the minority).
Exuse me...WHAT?
