Who actually didnt vote or wont today?
I raise my hand as being one of the non voters. One, I live in a state known for being a blue aka Democrat. (Ok when the terminator was foolishly elected gov here that was an exception). I am honestly not worried about my state of Cali.
If it was Texas, I might vote as it is known for being a red state aka Repub. And I do want Beto O'Rourke to beat Ted Cruz.
Secondly with all the voting booth tampering going on more and more, I am increasingly cynical about voting.
Thirdly, this may be selfish but I dont want to be put up for Jury Duty. Which happens within 2 months of registering to vote for me.
And lastly, I am really starting to get George Carlin's viewpoint on Voting. Watch here -

California may be blue overall as a state but, for example, Orange County is a red city. So this vote determines many things at a state level not a national level.
But no worries. You didn’t vote so that makes my vote 2xs as powerful. God bless.click to expand

Plus in these midterms, you're not just voting for 1 candidate like in a Presidential election. Even in a blue area like here, you're likely weighing in on at least 10 races in addition to numerous ballot measures.click to expand

Exactly.
And ballot measures very rarely are ‘blue’ or ‘red’ issues. Like one of the ones we are voting on for LA county is a measure to pass rent control.
Do you want to have lower rents?
Do you want to see neighborhoods retain their culture and avoid gentrification? If so vote yes.
Are you a sketch landlord who wants to be all about the greed? Vote no.
Zero to do with being red or blue.click to expand

@firestarter
That is a dictatorial mentality in which you are forcing your viewpoint onto someone. Instead of respecting their view and agreeing to disagree.
You better do some further research on voting tampering as it is getting worse. I'm not doing anything until that is more under control.
Lastly, this is the internet. Someone judging me that I dont know has zero importance to me. Sorry I have better things to then worry about a stranger on the internet striking me down.

My main reason right now though for not voting is the prospect of Jury Duty. In the past I have gotten called for Jury duty within a month after voting.
Jury duty pays jack squat, and I cant afford to take time off work and lose money. Especially when I am trying to escape a toxic living situation by Feb of 19
If that is selfish, so be it. This is about saving money so I can get out of an exploitative living situation period.

You can't win anyway if the Republicans cheat. I will be surprised if Georgia is anything but red.click to expand
