my point is, there are impoverished people, drug addicts all over the world. i've been around homeless folks who suffer from one form of mental illness or another and whose body odor is so rank that it would probably take days to get the stinch off of their skin.

regardless, i would never refer to them as "feral" or state that they roam in packs. it's offensive.

now i understand that your situation might not be ideal but the way you choose to express your frustration isn't kosher...in any country IMHO.

my point is, you said you didn't know all the details of your history. why not? maybe if you did, you'd have a greater understanding for the issues facing aboriginal/indigenous people. your increased knowledge doesn't excuse their behavior but as i mentioned before...is it all about race?

poor education, poverty, drug abuse and mental illness are far more accurate predictors of human behavior than skin color. you give me a child born in and out of any of these environments and i give you an adult who replicates said environment(s). did the child choose his/her parents or circumstances? sometimes the cycle is repetitive and if so, you can't/shouldn't doom a child from birth simply because his/her parents.

so, that's all i'm saying. if you understand that, then you'd still be wary of small groups of indi people but that's not the same as fearing them or making disparaging remarks simply because they're indis.
