I suppose it will be similar to Thanksgiving, but no dressing/stuffing or mash potatoes. My sister insisted on a Turkey...cause she had an extra one. So Turkey, Ham, Mac n cheese, candy yams, Collard Greens, potato salad, chicken and/or meat balls. Rolls, pies, cakes. And what ever else is bought. I'll be bringing the drinks. πŸ˜„

Sounds good minus the ham, have a drink for me πŸ™‚

Yeah a lot of people in my family don't eat pork. I'll have your slice, and your drink. πŸ™‚

What is your family having?

Traditional Xmas here is Turkey, Ham and Roasted Pork plus a lot go for prawns. We do all 3 without the prawns plus roasted veges.

Desserts are trifle and pavlova. It's a huge feast for one day and normally lasts for several plus lunches!

No, African American. My mom likes dishes like that and others too. She dabbles making different things.

Yup they're delicious like that! You should try it. Only the fried ones that are not sweet though.

Tomato, Mozzarella, and Basil Bruschetta, Deep Fried Ravioli (haven't decided on the filling yet) dipped in either a creamy white sauce made from scratch or marinara, and Lasagna.

For dessert, home made fruit cr?pes along with Amaretto Cherry and Tiramisu gelato.

I really wanted asparagus wrapped in bacon but the current bushels of asparagus at WinCo were like thin pencils when I last saw them a few days ago. Hm...what if I just do three at a time..?

Screw it maybe we'll just check every grocery store for acceptable asparagus.

Day late and heaven knows we're still munching on it. I made:

Glazed bone in ham
Wild rice casserole
Mashed potatoes
Wheat rolls
Peas
Apple pudding

Add to that all the sweets about and finished. Quick breads, cookies, candies and a cream cheese ball with chive and dried beef for nibbling. Cheese and relish/crudite plate.
