How does it work? I just signed up for the course entitled "Age of Sustainable Development" at Columbia University. I have no idea how it works! Can somebody explain? Thank you.

Hi, it depends on the university and the program but basically tthey post video lectures every week and give you assignments. Depending on the program they may require from you to share your work in a forum with other participants and work tigether with them. Its awesome, ive done several courses so far abd im satisfied 🙂 there might also be some quizes throughout the video lectures as well as tests. It also depends on whether you are going to get a certificate or not

Thanks. I think I need to buy the book my course is requiring me to do at Amazon. Are they still going to ship me the book or do they have a pdf version?

They've never made me buy any books. However, i've bought some books from amazon and ive seen that they sell both a paper and e-version of most books. The e-books are cheaper as well. So it depends on your preference

Edit: forgot to say that the courses arent super hard so you wont become an expert from them but they are still enriching

What is kindle by the way? Is it an app? The book it requires me to buy has a kindle version which costs $ 18.99

Uggghhh... I don' want to read off a computer for studying. It hurts my eyes if I do that. I'll probably look for cheaper versions of the book elsewhere. If I order from amazon, the book will arrive between December 9 and 28 but the first assignment is due on December 25th. What am I gonna do?

Thanks but I already accessed this specific site. Looks like I still can't begin the course. I don't have money yet. Remember, the Bar exams have just been completed. 🙂

You will get videos and during each week you can review the topic by doing the quiz. Also you need to complete a written assignment through a video or essay that was given at the end of each week. Doing assignments will help your score.

There is a minimum score in which you need to reach in order to get the certification and I believe there are program which come in capstone packs or sumthin'

I took social psychology and introduction to teaching through learnung subject. Failed on both 😆

I just suck at academics as I tend to get bored too quickly and lazy to read. This is bad, I know. I'm working on it.

But overall I think these courses are fun to join. The videos are comprehensive and well recorded. The materials are compiled nicely. And oh, you get to review other people's works too so it can broaden your view around the topic and so on. I dunno the interactions between students done through the forum there but overall good for improving your knowledge.
