I started dance when I was 3. Stopped at 16. Ballet, tap, jazz, jazz lyrical, hip hop. The same studio all those years. My daughter now dances at the same studio. It's fun.
Love to dance!
That sounds like a dream - what made you stop?
Which style or method of ballet did you take or do you prefer / enjoy to watch these days?
Which dance style did you enjoy more so than others?
Hah, I bet you have a riot watching you daughter grow up in an environment in which you were in as well as a child.
I dance
Free style contemporary
Am going out to do it tomorrow night

Why you should give it a try, after all you enjoy watching it for hours on end.
There must be a school, or a community and so forth which holds group classes or social events, have a go at it. You very well just might like it, to try something new.

Posted by SkyeLatin, contemporary and belly dancing.
I reserve the more sensual belly dancing for him,
cause he's special and I'm too shy to dance like that in public. lol

I am not familiar with this style of dance - what is the difference between Cuban Rumba and Salsa?
The music is still the one factor that keeps pulling me in regardless of style s or types.
It is about time you snag yourself a new partner then. 😆

@TheLadyScorpioWhat kind of dancing do you do?
Dancesport - Latin and Standard, mainly Latin
Ballet - Vaganova Method
Jazz, Jazz Funk, Street Jazz
Contemporary, Folk Dance, Theatre, Lindy Hop
Heels / Stilettos, Hip Hop
Argentine Tango, Burlesque / Pole / Aerial Arts, Belly Dancing
Salsa or Cuban Rumba, I have no idea which or what I did, it was done socially.
Off the top of my head, I believe those are all the style s of dance which I have done in the past or still participate in.

No, I have never tried that.
Dance is a wonderful thing. Not only your body moves in rhythmic harmony with the world, but your soul sings, heals and grows. I think that the dance is one of the highest manifestation of spirituality.
Every nations have their national dance, then there are tribal dances, etc...it's the connection with higher level of existence, in a way connection with God.
Too bad I always had 2 left legs, and spent dancing nights with my friends sitting in the corner 🙂
But I'd love to learn to dance, it's the most profound art for me.
My most favourite Kitri, Natalia Osipova from when she was still with the Bolshoi. She is now with the The Royal Ballet. 🙂
This is another beautiful interpretation of the Grand Pas de Deux.
@Seraphlight, you have excellent tastes. 🙂
That choreography which they did for 'Is It A Crime by Sade' is one of my favourites, sensual and sexy all at once. When I first discovered that clip a while back, I was a bit obsessed with it.
